I love running games, so would happily run a quick vanilla game, but the wife is due to give birth a week from now, so it would be remiss of me, perhaps

Oh, go on then. I'll give it a go. Give me until lunchtime to pull a ruleset together and any tips or tools would be handy.

Just a quick thought: This mysterious stranger character in the current game has given me an idea. It may have been discussed already, but what would you lot think of a game where some win conditions are unknown to the other players? It'd probably work best on secondary win conditions, but it could make for an interesting game.

Let's say, for example, that you have a mysterious stranger who has to kill the don, but if the don is killed, they have a secondary win condition, but nobody is told what it is, including them, until the primary one is fulfilled/rendered void?

That way you wouldn't get people in unique roles hedging their bets - they'd have to focus on the first goal only, and then cope from there.

Have we done a UN Council/Country based game before? If not, i'll get to writing one

Could run a game work with two cults? Think double agents, spies, assassins, indoctrination rituals, brainwashing (and pirates)?

Well, the game I am considering at the moment, everyone will be a member of a country, so everyone will have a power role as such, just how much power depends on the country...

At some point this year I will run a Blind Mafia game

The UN gets together to talk things through, but the situation is so incendiary, that everyone has come in disguise!
We must stop this madness, anybody who can't be trusted will have to be voted off the council and play no more part in any UN decisions...

General Rules
1) Country leaders are in charge and ultimately make the decisions.
2) If a leader of a country is voted out or killed, he will be replaced by another member of the country, decided by the country.
3) Countries members can only privately communicate amongst themselves, apart from the Swiss, as they are all sitting in their bunkers, on their stacks of gold, holding their rifles, and individually won't talk to anyone.

Having not been part of the Saw themed game, how hard is it to run a game where noone knows who anyone else is?

I understand it was a lot of work for both Grim... and The Gaywood , and they both know the forum and its inner workings very well , the only 'easy' solution I could see would be to give everyone a new login that they only used for the game - although i'm sure Malc would still sign his posts so you could probably spot him :-)
