I have not yet offered props to my partner, Zaphod. His analysis emails on days 1-3 were fantastic and finding Bobby was all him, baby, yeah!

Not interesting survival based stats:

Having figured out how long people survived in each game, I can reveal that of those who have played at least a third of the games:

Vegetables, JBR and Runcle are the best at survuving, each surviving an average of 6 days. Vegetables having survuved 87.5% of his available game time, JBR 86.1% and Runcle 83.8%.

Runcle having played a total of 48 days, out of a total 57 (64 if you include the game he didn't play)

The least good at surviving are:
Zaphod79, lasting an average of 2.3 days, 31.4% of game time.
Bluecup, 2.6 days, 38.9%
Rev Owen 2.8 days, 41.1%
Dudley, 2.83 days, 40.8%
Myp 3.29, 49.23%
Me 3.33, 48.81%

And just a word for Sinister agent, 2 games played, died on night one both times ( 1, 13.39% )

How does Runcle always survive when he always seems to be full of misdirection and shadiness?

Being a bit too loud - although I wasn't lynched this time round and actually the only person who voted for me at any point in the game was you on the first day.

Thanks - although we then faced a major problem - we knew he was an alien - but couldnt start any sort of push against him since i couldnt vote for him at that point (plan if there was even a partial run on him was that Scully would vote for him and I would vote for someone else but FOS him)

TBH, the town was far better off without Mulder.

Only after a certain point, early on, having second pair of eyes was invaluable. Mulder getting killed night 3/4 was the best thing we could have hoped for, really.

Definetly much better than getting Scully killed - at that point i would probably have outed myself to get bobby killed and hoped for protection for a night or two for additional info on other aliens.

I think if this is re-played you may need to look at something else to balance out Mulder a bit (FYI it was me who suggested he should hit the booze if Scully was gone because there was no point in me investigating someone only to find i couldn't vote against them).

But then, killing Mr Chris might have proved too tempting.

You ungrateful bastard, Gaz!

Zaphod didn't know that Bobby was an evil alien though, did he? He could've been the BA.

Doesn't help, no.

Yeah, the raw figures don't show the whole picture; people exploding themselves(Or being a surprisingly explosive mime)/getting modkilled(Craster & Mr Russ)/forced suicides (Myp killing himselve through secretly loving The Gaywood too much) are just noted as regular deaths, regardless of whether it had anything to do with playstyle.

The order in full (Red = only 1 or two games played) :
Sinister Agent
Malc 74
mrak
The vision

31.Zaphod
30.Bluecup
29.Rev Owen
28.Dudley
Nervous Pete
27.Myp
26.Me
25.Bobbyaro
Craig
24.Craster
23.Kalmar
Mr Dom
Morte
TsuMuch

22.Pundabaya
Squirt
Shin

21.Mr Chris
20.Zardoz
19.Goddess Jasmine
18.Malc
17.Mimi
16.Gnomes
15.Lace Sensor
14.The internets famous Richard Gaywood (A.K.A The Gaywood, A.K.A Dwarvish Glenda)
13.Mr Russ
MaliA
12.Curiosity
11.Joans
10.Dimrill
9.GazChap
8.Sheepeh
7.Rodafowa
6.KevR

I generally ignore the magic coins, as they're usually completely wrong about me. But there rarely seems to be a point voting for him, as he rarely gets any votes.

Nor do I for that matter, but I usually do get a hitman. (In 2 games, I've lasted one night, in 2 I've lasted 2, and the other 2 I've survived till the end)

Right now I cannot be bothered to figure out a table to find who's done the best job of winning. I don't know how I'd count joint wins.

And sorry, what was that? Myp killing himselve through secretly loving The Gaywood too much? Myp, You dirty hussy!

I'm surrpised I'm only 13th. I guess my epic first day death counted against me, as in the first few games I lasted the entire length of the game.

If scores were to be made, I'd give 1 point for a full win, 0.5 for a shared win, and 0.1 or something like that for extra 'bonus wins' or for surviving to the end.

It's not an entirely fair way of doing things anyway, as different games will give different people a good/bad chance of winning. For instance, Grim... is the only SK to be given the 'only need to kill 5 people' win condition, whereas every other game he would have lost and the town would have had a clean win.

Either way, it's all good fun, and I'm glad that people enjoyed the game.

Mulder was something of a hindrance to the town as the game went on, but that was intentional. In the early days he's a definite boon, as it gives the FBI two sets of eyes (teams generally spot things better than individuals), and it protects against the Town having no alien spotting role if Scully goes early. having him top himself if the BA dies was a way of making it more likely that he would go before Scully, leaving her free to go on a rampage.

I liked how it worked (at least, once I'd added zaphod's suggestion re: Mulder). The only thing I'd change is that the Last Resort could possibly be automatic, though half the reason it went in was that it was supposed to be a gamble that alien may or may not want to take.

That's very interesting, the list of survivors. Though a quick look at the regular early deaths suggests that it's the most effective players who are offed early. Which makes me - yeah, second to last to be picked for the school team.

If someone could kill me off early in the next one to balance things up, that'd be great.

You've made me consider giving every player the option of a Last Speech they read out on the way to the gallows, that the GM would post for them. It'd give information gatherers the chance to release their info, and you could allow people the option of retracting their vote, perhaps.

Hanging someone who has vital info is a pretty vital risk of the game though.

The fact you and Joans didnt vote as well had you both under scrutiny (as i posted in the thread that day)

bluecup: 1 (Mr Dom)

mr dom: 2 (kalmar, GazChap)

Its also interesting to look at those who didnt vote :

Not voted: 3 (joans, bobbyaro, bluecup)

Tie that into the non voters list from above (I realise much earlier in the game at this point) :

Not voted: 9 (craster, joans, morte, mr chris, bobbyaro, mr russell, zaphod79, gazchap, goddess jasmine)

So Joans and Bobbyaro havent voted at all yet ? , does this mean they have some other powers rather than lynching someone ?

You look back at that and go there are 3 aliens who didnt vote on day 1 and Gaz was in the short list of those who voted for someone unlikely to be lynched.

I either get killed early for being too loud, or killed early because people say I must be scum because I'm being quiet.

PERHAPS THAT'S BECAUSE WHEN I WAS LOUD YOU KILLED ME YOU CUNTS.

So yeah, I'm starting to largely assume I'll never survive a game because someone will immediately choose me, hence my mafia plan to choose disparate people. I didn't think people would tie me to Myp (and they didn't) and we choose Bluecup next (but failed, obv).

To be fair, you need to be a vanilla townie for a game or two to lose your suspicious mantle.

I think you've been a good power role once, and a bad power role every other game you've played :0)

To be fair, you need to be a vanilla townie for a game or two to lose your suspicious mantle.

I think you've been a good power role once, and a bad power role every other game you've played :0)

No, I've been a townie several times. Didn't help.

A blind game (ie. assigned a random username) would be great and solve the problems like Dudleys, but it would be hella complicated.
I've also been tempted to set up the game as usual, lay out the rules and get the players, just use my £2 a month special power and start the game on WoS. If you're banned, you're out!

Could be a lot of fun though as you try and work out who's who.

I like the idea of the other 'blind' method which is you dont know if your good or bad / townie or power role - each night you chose another 2 player and thats it - you can see what happened (or didnt happen) to them the next day.

Could be you are a random townie but day 1 you target the same person as a mafia hitman , and you think wooooo - i did that so i must be a baddie ....... no chance for roleclaims but could get very confusing.

DementiaScum would be great, as long as at least one player has a GPS tracker so one other player can see their movements all the time.

This has occured to me to, how easy would it be for a third server after bill and ted, for a separate log in?

Also, the results are (kinda) in

If a win/joint win counts for 1, and a loss counts for 0:

The most successful regular (as in played at least a third of the games) player is.....

Grim... with an 80% success ratio ( 4/5 games)
Second is Dimrill 75% (3/4 games)
Third is Plissken on 75% (3/4 games)

Also notable : Joans has the highest number of wins with 5 wins out 8 games. (62.5%)

The worst player is Gazchap on an amazing 0% out of 7 games
Then JBR 0% out of 3 games
Then Craster on 20% (1/5 games)

The most boring player is Mr Russ, who out of 8 games, has been a townie 7 times. (and was obviously the Mafia Don in the first) (37.5% success)
Probably the most exciting, as it were (particulary for Mr Chris) is The Gaywood, who has been Mafia 3 times and Scully once. (50% success)

Of 9 games, the town has had won 4 times, two of those joint : once two people reamaining, one cult (out of 6), one town (out of 8), one joint with Grim...s SK. Both of which are weak, and shouldn't really get a full point, honestly.

Hmm. I often take an early bath though, so can't take much credit for those Mafia wins even if that was my team.

I had the idea for a game where everyone were assigned roles as normal, but they'd all get PMs telling them they were vanilla townies. I was going to call it LyingScum. It would have been fairly amusing for me and the viewers watching everyone argue with themselves, thinking that they were all innocent.

I nearly did it for my MS game, but chickened out.

*cough*

Game 2: You were Mafia, Cult won
Game 4: You were Mafia, and won.
Game 5: We were Mafia, and got decimated by Mr Russ the Serial Don Killer. Town won
Game 9 : You were a hot babe, and are getting a visit from Mr Chris tonight. You won.

Wouldnt it get suspicious after no overnight kills on the 2nd or 3rd night ?
