Too many permutations for today if we assume as hinted above that there is just 1 mafia / 1 alien left then the correct lynch and a correct Scully investigation could win the game for the town overnight.

Getting the lynch and the night action the wrong way round means at least 1 more day of stuff to happen.

Worst case for the town is lynching Scully (2nd worst is lynching any townie)

It would be fucking hilarious if they lynched scully!

Who's night action would occur if Scully and Alien went to kill each other? Would they both die in a horrific fight, or would it be more logical that Scully would die as she is a puny Earthling. Or even better, scully is killed, but the alien is mortally wounded and has to go "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA" and a strange red count down occurs on his arm.

Assuming Grim... is really a mannequin maker then scully could out herself for one night (protected by Grim...) and then get one final nights kill in 'tomorrow' which could also win the town the game.

If (wonder of wonders) they actually do things right and there are only 2 baddies and they get them both .........

What about leaving the game running for a little while and see how much you can wind up whoevers left thinking theres gotta be another baddie around if they can just find them :-)

Also Gaz is STILL banging on a "at least 3 baddies" thing. Does this mean he's an alien and knows there's another one because I still make the theoretical minimum one of each.

Well, that's my theory fucked, then. I can't see Gaywood putting in a late vote for his alien master, even to make himself seem good, when the last resort was at stake. Unless he knew Joans wasn't going to be around and put his own safety ahead of a possible last resort, but that seems very unlikely.

Also, if I were Dudley I'd have tried to recruit Gaywood (and other mods) if I thought he was a townie, but he was playing like scum, so I's not have bothered trying.

Which means that Gaywood's probably a goodie and not the scum I've had him pegged as all game, I think.

The obvious conclusion is that Gazchap is the remaining alien.

That said, Mr Russ hasn't posted yet, he could easily have been Scully with Gaywood and Chris (currently having a love in) being 2 remaining aliens.

Lord a mercy! Gaz was so clearly an alien there, but saved himself by virtue of being in the discussion, it seems - there was no real logic to it, other than trying to get on with things quickly. Which has a certain reasonableness to it, I guess, in that any townie who was offed would still 'win' once things were tidied up, but really, to me Gaz's post screamed "I am staying reasonable but shitting my pants here!"

They had it down to the choice of two, and so it was lynch one, Scully nobbles the other in the night - even Gaz's sneaky edit of the suspect list to have Town next to his name didn't save him

None as far as I recall. That instance was something I did automatically (forgetting we're not on edit here), and then realised I shouldn't have. Couldn't then change it back, though, as that would have looked weird.
