You won by proxy :smug:

I was sad you weren't able to finish the game. I had you sussed, I think. Your replacement did a great job of stringing me up, though :smug:

I will probably get fired if the next game starts straight away and I doubt I'm the only one.

It's good to have a bit of a break between games, so it doesn't sour too quickly.

I'll do a new 'sign-up' thread for the next one. I'm not sure how I'll allocate places, but I do want to allow room for people who didn't get to play this time.

Hmm - I wonder if I can get touts to pay me for places and then sell them on to other players...

Just a thought, but with quite a few people saying it sucked up a lot of their time, etc - would it be worth slowing it down somewhat, so there are no early finishes to the days/nights? Or does that change the dynamic of the game (instant hangings when you get to x votes) too much?

The problem is that the mafia need to be able to bandwagon people into voting for the wrong person. That's why the day automatically stops when a majority of votes are reached. I think as we play more games people will be a bit less excited and so play will be slower.

Well you have to close the days early really. It's not a lynch mob if you get the mob together then hold a rational debate, but there's an argument to fix the nights so that there's only ever a day per....er....day.

Yeah, I could do that. I wanted to keep it going in this game, because I figured with no-one to point the town in the right direction, the rest of the game would be quite dull if it was a slow moving set of lynches and hits.

Well I've got no complaint about the pace of this one, but I'm in an enviable position re;posting from work.

I certainly wouldn't mind playing again, but wouldn't rate my chances of lasting at all long after this round. I'd imagine I'd make a good early target for the mafia.

Nah, the mafia would leave you since you'll be a suspect.

Depending on who the townsfolk are however, you're fucked there.

It's a tough game to play as a townie. If you're suspicious, you run the risk of being lynched. If you're not, the mafia will bump you off because they can't see the townies doing their job for them.

Fascinating stuff, though. For the record I was sure Mimi was mafia and would have voted for her on day three if I'd survived. (Sorry.)

I enjoyed it, thanks for organising it Craster. I'd join in again, but obviously let those who didn't play get first dibs.

Looking back on the original thread, it seems Mimi was doomed from the very beginning...

Some of the other (unused) roles also look quite interesting.

I'd say the people who haven't played will have an advantage, if they've read a few pages. The people who've played for longest have kind of given away their playing style, and any deviation from that will likely be seen as suspicious in the next game, rightly or wrongly.

Grim... I accuse you of being mafia, as you're clearly not dead.
