Craster promised he wouldn't tell if I noshed him off too!

I've still got the taste in my mouth...

I said it ages ago you dolt, I'm simply repeating it because there's not many theories floating around and nobody has really said anything about it. If everyone has really decided not to listen to anything I say then just lynch me and get it over with already. One of these games you'll learn that I'm not full of shit, I just have really poor man-management skills.

I'm not sure about Mr Chris. He always seems the type to have his Blackberry out doing work at a wedding. Personally I think you're the child who's been fed too many E numbers by your mischeivous Uncle, so I'll let you go. Gill is Gill again.

I'll believe Mr Russ for now, but it's a very strange time to roleclaim (and I'm assuming he's claiming to be the Photographer).[vote:unvote]

Twenty minutes until I go home.

You're wrong about it applying to me, going from mentioning drinking and stuff during the previous course.
You said it was suspicious then, now I'm not bothering you're saying it's suspicious that I've stopped... It's good, but it's not right :)

Out of my 4 suggestions I made them play poker

Malc - 3 of a kind 9's (1 joker)
Morte - jack high 9 kicker
Mr Dom - pair of 6's
Zaphod - ace high

So malc or morte.

I can imagine a wedding crasher being a bit of a joker so Im going for Malc.

Of course, typically the quiet people = bad guys theory has been shown to be something of a fallacy. Quiet people tend to be quiet regardless of their role, and noisy people the opposite.

I get that :)

I've been having a quick think, and I reckon it's better to go for a quiet one. Theory is that if we're better off voting a quiet guest out than a noisy one, as noisy ones might eventually shout about the right person and that person might screw up when defending themselves. Put simply, a noisy guest is more useful than a quiet one.

As for the maths, in a worst case scenario there are five crashers (four to start, and the reckless guest has joined them). This is unlikely as (a) I don't think there would be four crashers in a game this size, and (b) because the reckless guest would have to get very lucky. Anyway, we've got six lynches left so (assuming the ex doesn't hit a baddie between courses) we have one 'guest' in hand, if you like.

Bottom line - we've only got one guaranteed 'free shot' at a lynch.

Well let's see. Out of your convenient list, the only one really being quiet (as far as I can remember) is Morte.
So [vote:Morte] for now

Anyway, since you comment on it...

I won't be around for the end of this course, sadly. I don't think I'm going to vote for anyone, as no one is standing out for me today.

(I'm currently in a warehouse with very limited net access, and won't get home till gone 7, so I better stick my oar in now...)

I'm getting suss of SDG... lots of drunken rambling going on - could be misdirection?
I'm still very suss of Morte's silence, and I would also chuck a vote in for Mr Chris too for the lack of play...
Also intrigued by Runcles theory about Kalmar, tho it makes me more suss of Runcle - from the 'people know their own role rules best' argument, and so I am thinking that he is a good candidate for being the reckless guest...
hmmm...

For now: [vote: Morte]
Happy to change if anyone can point a good direction, but will vote now in case I don't get back on before the next course is served.

So where does that leave your SDG/AK axis of evil theory?

Personally, I can't shut up now or everyone will take that as proof of my guilt. Russ was all set to vote for me this morning because I had a mega lie-in and didn't post anything for the first hour ZOMG

There is another person I would feel comfortable voting for aside from Chris by the way, but again, if I name them they will be considered bulletproof because nobody trusts me so I'm going to have to leave it to someone else to push them. Their name is already floating around though, so for once I have a thimbleful of hope for sense prevailing.

Hmm, in the previous course you only made about 3 comments and they were all completely inconsequential.
You have been playing today though, so I'm not sure that accusation stands up.

He's been playing today because I forced him out of the woodwork with my early accusation. And still everything he has said has been completely flatulent and inconsequential.

Okay - i'm out for the next hour , cant believe i'm in a list of the 'quiet' ones :-)

Morte in previous partys has tended to stick to the shadows (i can remember one about a party and Morte was the last good power role and still got it wrong) , i agree with one of the previous posters that 'loud people play loud' and 'quiet people play quiet' , it doesnt really tell you much , all that does is when people get close to a vote and how they squirm.

Mr Dave didnt squirm much yesterday because he was a vanilla character and if he went he knew it wasnt the end of the game , the people that squirm when they are close are more sus (like 123456789 kid) although he's just loud - i expect him to post a list giving every single current player on it and then claim later "look the bad ones are on my list!"

Unless someone plays against character theres nothing much to pick , the fact that Myp and Curio are not at each others throats (much) is a bit sus , and isnt Myp leaving this party to go to another one soon ?

I think you've messed up the quotes there Mr Chris! ;)

Anyway, what *did* Craster mean - noisy people stay noisy or noisy people change to being quiet?

You quoted him with the words bolded. He never bolded any words, I did, so you should have quoted my quote of him, not represent it as his original unaltered words. Although judging from the mangling you made of your last post, you're not good with the quote function on this board so it's probably easier for you to just be inaccurate.

As for part 2, he clearly meant it to be read as "quiet people tend to be quiet whatever their role, and noisy people tend to be noisy whatever their role", he just condensed the second half a fraction too much to be entirely unambiguous. So essentially, he was saying that you can't deduce someone's role from how loud or quiet they are, so you "I knew a noisy guy who had no power role once" is completely meaningless in response.

Seriously, shall we just get rid of Zaphod? He could be deadly to the chances of wedded bliss whichever side he's on...

he clearly meant it to be read as "quiet people tend to be quiet whatever their role, and noisy people tend to be noisy whatever their role", he just condensed the second half a fraction too much to be entirely unambiguous. So essentially, he was saying that you can't deduce someone's role from how loud or quiet they are, so you "I knew a noisy guy who had no power role once" is completely meaningless in response.

I think the argument between SDG and myp was suspect (trying to throw up a smoke screen?)

I think Mr Russell is suspect due to saying he's got extra information

I think Runcle is suspect becaue he's using Poker instead of coins, and he's now done it several times. He's also accused Zaphod and me of being quiet, when I don't think I have, and Zaphod doesn't think he has either.

I think Mr Chris is suspect as he wanted to give people nuggies in the toilet

I think all these are quite crap reasons to suspect people but it's the best I've got (so I've probably fingered the bride, groom and best man! :hat: )

Much as I don't want to get shouted at for "panicking people", time is getting short, and we're all over the place.

VOTE UPDATE

morte: 1 (Mr Dom)
malc: 1 (Runcle)
thealbin0kid: 1 (Mr Chris)
mr chris: 1 (TheAlbin0Kid)
kalmar: 1 (superdupergill)

Not voted: 9 (myp, craster, kovacsc, grim..., kalmar, malc, morte, mr russell, zaphod79)

With 14 players alive, 8 votes are required for a lynch, and 11 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

I leave work in a bit, and won't get home until after 7.

So I'm going to add to the panic.

*sigh*
does anyone ever actually read my posts? I thought I had been quite consistent with what I was saying in each one and if they sometimes seemed rambly it is only because I don't have a job which involves sitting at a computer so any online time I get can end at any moment when I'm at work, meaning my posts can be rushed.
I don't think I'm guilty of misdirection though, my direction has been very clear.

I will before I leave, there's no point at the moment, as if I vote for the "wrong" person it's just wasted. I think it will be from one of the people I mentioned up there, and hopefully that will fit in with someone actually being voted for closer to when I leave.

The waiting staff are beginning to remove the first course from in front of the guests. Two hours until decision time...

That was SDG and Albin0, by the way.

I must be gullible, because I ruled him out for that :S
Still, it does seem like a risky thing to say given some of the dodgy characters dishing out "noogies" and having private meetings in the toilets, so I'll be surprised if he's still at the table for the next course.
