Haha, excellent, so I didn't even give away anything useful!

I jumped ship because I was fairly sure that A) I wouldn't make it through the night and B) even if I did the loyalists were doomed anyway

Hopefully I made it onto the rebel team before I died then, as that means I WIN.

You did switch sides, yes.

I had basically three choices:

1) You were killed before your investigation and before you switched sides
2) You were killed after your investigation and after you switched sides (which meant your info would have contained plissken's identity)
3) You were killed after changing sides but without getting the results of your investigation

I went for the third option, because I thought it was fairest all round.

I'd laugh if the day timed out, Gill hadn't been paying attention and voted to oust zaphod instead of Morte, thus allowing Morte to whip her to vote herself out.

No. SDG will "kill" Morte tonight and we've won.

I'd like to echo the Honourable Members' previous comments in relation to the lack of attendance at this conference. Shocking, simply shocking.

Grouching about attendance aside, thanks to Craster for running the game. Likely to be my last one for a while. :-(

Aye, good skills, it worked very well really!

People did well with the characters / theme too, which made it more fun to play.

Aye, thanks for the game, Craster. I think the loyalists were always going to struggle a little without having their own investigative role, but it played out well in the end.

What I loved about this game was that it looked like the loyalists were doomed very early on, but every day there was just something that kept them struggling on - usually Plissken, natch.

What I like about the SK role is that it actually helps if they knock off the bad guys.

Dave, you really need to lose your reputation, everyone always "investigates" you on the first night! :D

Tell me about it. If I ever get a role that isn't a vanilla townie, I'm going to be screwed.

The problem is that you need someone to stir up the game, else you end up as here with not much happening, and so while it was clear that there was some kind of manipulation going on, there just wasn't any clues as to its source.

Besides, I like playing complete nutters.

I was really disapointed you were gone after day 1 , i was looking forward to what you would come up with to keep the ball rolling.

I have to say looking back on the last few days the majority of the conversations were me and all the rebels + muckraker , I was surrounded by villains and didnt know it

And am i correct in saying the only 'whip' which actually worked was for me on the final day ?

So.. let me get this straight...

It all boiled down to Morte choosing who to whip, & he got it wrong?
I had zaphod pegged as a badun, so I would have done the same too :D

Good game, cheers to all :)

Given that I would've had to vote for myself, the first order of business would've been defusing that, which would've been a little tricky, but not impossible, and I would've felt bad in what I had to do to try and accomplish that - perhaps less so in hindsight, considering the target I'd have had in mind. Only one person really stood out after day 1 to me as saying "My behaviour is not entirely kosher".

But everyone got distracted by the usual Curio/Myp fight.

it's better than it looks as at the point he had to choose the options were :

me - party faithful
SDG - rebel
Mr Chris - rebel
Plissken - muckraker

and he chose me

Although SDG may have been able to convince me she was the missing whip , and we would still have lost :-)

Well he did. But seeing as Kalmar then left the game, it became irrelevant.

I dunno. I'd have left it in for fun.

[edit]Thinking about it, being able to stop Mr Chris for voting for anyone he likes would have been nearly as important and having him vote for a specific person.
