I wondered about this. Shin posted quite a lot early in the thread yesterday saying either nothing, or the same thing repeatedly. For example:
Shin wrote:
I'll stick with LC for now as last time I changed my vote they turned out to be a bloody bad guy!
Shin wrote:
I just want the game underway and I'm not changing vote unless something drastic happens because, as I said, I changed it last time and it was a bad move :S

Could be suspicious. Perhaps she wants to maintain some posts, so as not to be too quiet, but not saying anything of substance, so as not to draw attention to herself.

Either way why does that change why myp would pick on him? Seems an odd thing to say in your defence.

Can we please not have votes that are just votes?

It's so much nicer when you get to read back a day and see reasons for voting. Even if it's just "I agree with [x]".

Also, Runcle, Runcle, dear old Runcle, break out the coins, and let's see who's a baddy.

Scum don't tend to give reasons, it's too easy for it to be used against them later, their reason is usually "I know who my mates are and it's not them plus it looks like I might have a chance to get them lynched".

Don't whine about them, just FOS them.

I think its generally a good thing for the town to have the SK gone , as none of the investigative roles can spot them it would just be luck finding them.

Odds wise the chances are slightly better than 50 / 50 that the mafia have managed to recruit so have doubled in size and of course we have the ever present alien threat.

Offing the photographer is a pain but it could have been worse.

From our investigative roles we should know if some people are aliens (or not) Mafia (or not) although the cop's role is reduced in this game as if he targeted someone last night and they were a goodie they could be changed to a baddie in the future. The good alien may have been able to give other info out - however this early in the game unless someone was very lucky last night we dont know and cant have any solid evidence of scummyness

From the voting yesterday i'm suspicious of those who went for single votes without any evidence since the chances are their votes would not count - it would be a good tactic for the 'evil' side to make sure they are not all together in a block , it would be less suspicious if they had voted and then tried to drum up support for their viewpoint (so in this list at least Mr Dave tried and then seemed to go off in the huff)

bluecup: 1 (Mr Dom)
zaphod79: 1 (Mr Dave)
mr dom: 2 (kalmar, GazChap)

Its also interesting to look at those who didnt vote :

Not voted: 3 (joans, bobbyaro, bluecup)

Tie that into the non voters list from above (I realise much earlier in the game at this point) :

Not voted: 9 (craster, joans, morte, mr chris, bobbyaro, mr russell, zaphod79, gazchap, goddess jasmine)

So Joans and Bobbyaro havent voted at all yet ? , does this mean they have some other powers rather than lynching someone ?

We also have the 'new' players who seem to be *very* new for everything (what there are aliens! - oooooh whats a vote - why shoudnt we just bury our heads in the sand and wait for the cavelry) , some of this strikes me as a little too convient (Mr Dom and Bobbyaro were both doing this yesterday)

Yesterdays thread also has a few people posting the odd message and then staying very quiet - Shin is the one who people have picked out that has done this but there were others (i cant go through the whole thread to pick them out but i'll have a look at doing this tonight)

Right now i'm happy with picking someone who's been quiet yesterday and quiet today and going for them - as a townie i cant see why you would try and 'blend' into the shadows (good job cancer man is already gone!).

Oh and whats the verdict of the magic coins (btw if you do them go back and run a set for Lace and The rev to see how accurate they were)

As I was reading your post zaphod, it strikes me that Runcle maybe already ran the coins, and it outed all him and his alien mates (or mafia etc whatever) and thus is scared to post the results.

So far today my only suspicion is of Shin, because she popped up when people mentioned her and were voting.

It's OK, calling you a shitter was only supposed to be light hearted ribbing anyway. You twart.

I'm going to [vote:Shin] as per my reasons earlier until Runcle posts his coin based magics.

That's not defending her, that's saying she's potentially Scum. Interesting you are trying to misrepresent what I said though.

Shin and myp are in cahoots, I think. Whether as townie masons or as aliens or mafia I don't know, but that's well suss.

The Magic Coins have Spoken!

Craster 4 heads out of 5
Zardoz 4
Doctor Glyndwr 4
myp 2
Joans 4
Morte 0
Mr Dom 2
Malc 1
Grim... 1
Mr Chris 4
Runcle 2
Bobbyaro 3
Mr Russell 2
zaphod79 2
GazChap 3
Bluecup 4
Dudley 3
Goddess Jasmine 1
Shin 3
Mr Dave 3

5 heads = 0 results
4 heads = 6 results
3 heads = 5 results
2 heads = 5 results
1 head = 3 results
0 heads = 1 result

Anyway everyone knows its the 5 heads out of 5 that show the true baddy.
Although it took something like 3 or 4 run throughs before I got any so that may question the reliabiality of these results.

Anyway in the run through Morte and Gazchap both got 5 heads out of 5. Time for the knock out.

Initially I though whoever gets the most heads next is the baddy. It was 4 against 1 with mrote getting the most. But I thought what if it was another 5 heads that showed true evil.

and after about 10 run throughs, finally gazchap got 5 heads, in other peculiar results during this knockout morte got 3 zero heads results.

So there conclusive proof that Gazchap is evil.

I like Dudley's idea that people would vote without giving a reason because they can't think of any other reason than "I know this guy isn't on my side", which would be bad for obvious reasons.

Although he's now clarified and said it's because he thinks Shin is suspicious. Ultimate cop-out excuse really, you can't produce evidence for a FOS like that which is handy if he's scum and can't actually produce any.

I've never given a reason for any vote I've ever made, mind. Gut instincts can't be explained, but I have a very trustworthy lower colon.

Did I hear someone call my name? ;)

So... why Shin?
I'm still dubious of Malc, Dr G and Dudley:
Malc & Dr G are not 'together', so they are not both aliens (if they are I will go out and buy a hat to eat)
Dudley seems to me to be on DrG's side, tho with masons & FBI around they could easily be on the Town side.
Then again, Shin & Myp are both gunning for Dr G & they seem to be the ones with the FOS.

My head hurts!

I am with you on this Craster. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Mr Chris was involved as well, but that could simply be because I don't understand what he is talking about with:

Quote:
Or are you only saying that because you're on Dudley's side and are trying to reinforce his attempt to "subtly" implicate someone? HMM. I WONDER.

:S

And I have no idea what Mr Dave is going on about, but he is normally very good at the game, however his calling of Mr Dom, who magically appears... Hmmm.

Still, I reckon we can join in on the Myp and DrG spat fun as well, [vote:myp].

If you agree with me, why would you vote for myp instead of adding to my existing vote for the Doc?

Because I think they are playing a game, and I think we can play it too and it will get us more info than simply lynching DrG.

I am with you on this Craster. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Mr Chris was involved as well, but that could simply be because I don't understand what he is talking about with:

Or are you only saying that because you're on Dudley's side and are trying to reinforce his attempt to "subtly" implicate someone? HMM. I WONDER.

:S

Gaz was suggesting that I'm suss because I didn't give a reason for voting for shin, and referred to Dudley suggesting the same thing earlier.

Voting for Malc seems to be useless for the second day running, then :(

Alien Scum - Day Two
VOTE UPDATE

mr chris: 1 (GazChap)
mr dom: 2 (Malc, Dudley)

With 20 players alive, 11 votes are required for a lynch, and 15 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

4 votes to lynch Shin, 3 voters...

So who's going to change? I'd like to at least hear from her first and while I wonder about her gameplan, with 16 hours still left I'd quite like to have someone else involved. I still don't like Mr Dom's game. He's either REALLY bad at this or being instructed to act really bad at this.

So why are you voting for Shin?
The bandwagon of Shin votes is pretty impressive considering she hasn't been here to raise any suspicions.

Cos the ones I want to vote for only have me voting for them, which apparently makes me suspicious.
And I'm either playing a complete noob, or I am the ultimate master at playing a complete noob.
Whatever I do is probably wrong but hey, but I'm having fun whatever :)
