Given that my previous play style was frowned upon, I just went for random things that came into my head, and seeing if I couldn't unsettle a few people. It was fun*.

I voted for Shin, as I was certain she was no vanilla townie. And of those, the odds ain't bad.

The Mr Dom shouty post could be explained as me having noticed that there were 4 people with Mr at the beginning of their name, of which 3 were voting for Shin, and one wasn't - that was the obvious reason. The reaction was interesting.

* - And seemed to work. I got killed pretty quickly.

Hmmmm , one other thought - although again a risky strategy for them.

If the mafia recruiter tried previously to recruit Morte and failed the mafia know he's either FBI or an alien

Grim.... standing up and saying Morte is an alien doesnt really have any bad points for the mafia , if he's right they kill him and he looks 'good'
If he's wrong its the other FBI agent gone and he gets offed the next day (or the FBI agent roleclaims and it gets messy).

And the odds would be that he would hit one of the 4 remaining aliens rather than the single FBI agent

ohhhhh and myp trying to play down the chance that Grim... could have been recruited - so if Grim... is mafia then Myp is the other.

I said Bobby was a bad 'un, I did. Mainly because he seemed to be in cahoots with Gaywood, though, so if Gaywood turns out to be a goodie, then I'll have got it right by pure fluke.

BTW i've pm'd Curio but he has an error on the player list for today with Morte still in there which changes the number of people required for different things - if a Mod is around in here can they change the post or let him know in some faster way than a PM ?

I've posted it to the thread - apologies just didn't want to take the chance of the wrong player numbers influencing voting and the overall game (mods can remove the post or do what you want to the list when you get here)

The numbers for various votes doesn't actually change, as you need > 50% for a lynch and > 75 for no lynch, but thatnk you anyway.

I still stand utterly by Gaywood being a bad guy though.

I don't think Grim... is a mafia, I'm a bit suss of Myp though.

This is something i struggle with as well - if i was still around i'd be posting in the thread to ask people to set something (anything!) as an avatar because that's the way i associate people with their posts.

On one of the previous games with server changes we had 2 or 3 people posting with no avatars and i got confused over who had and had not posted (which then got people calling to lynch me since i was giving duff information)

I think Myp is very suspicious just now - not sure about Grim... given that he's still alive i'd still be leaving him around today and going after others but its getting close now - you have to consider 3 possible kills again tonight plus a lynch today that knocks the total number alive down to 6 people for 'tomorrow'

I'm enjoying them coming up with all kinds of devious ways a Dudley led mafia team would operate.

And they're right, they're all things I might have done.

But are they things I did do? I only had 2 nights after all. It's confirming to me though that whoever ordered the hit on me is the only reason the mafia won't win this game because I had them utterly out-caboodled. Given it was the aliens was it your idea bobb?

Really good game so far, loads of twists and turns. Can actually see the town winning this if they move on from this position.

I usually am, which is why I prepared for early death. The fact no-one has found any of my 1-2 minions clearly means I at least did well there.

Mr Chris too, but I'm slightly more inclined to think he's innocent. They're both just going for self-righteous "but I've *been* involved" which is no argument at all. They should lynch Gaz, I think, tout suite.

Some people are talking some absolute nonsense in the game thread.

However if you talk absolute nonsense with the right degree of authority then people will believe it and it will become 'true' by virtue of the fact that everyone thinks its true.

I can't comment as much as I'd like in this thread, but some stuff today said by the living people have made me lagh. A lot.

A lot of what they are doing is running around like headless chickens ...... what it needs is someone to take charge and push things in the right direction - today is basically the key day - the right choices today will win the game for the town , the wrong choices will let one of the other two sides win

I also think theres a lot of 'empty heads' rattling around trying to look like "wooo i'm helping - go on trust me - look i'm helping out loads" ....

I wonder how much other editing chris has done before they caught him.

If it was a problem i'm sure a mod could check up to see when things have actually been changed - however i dont think thats really a concern (otherwise you wonder about the other mods in there)

Posts are pretty hotly watched in that forum - it would be difficult to sneak through an edit without someone noticing, unless it was 4am or something.

This is looking like a very close game - the town need to do the right thing today - and im not sure if its better to get the mafia killer or to get an alien remembering they have scully to go alien hunting at night , the mafia may hit an alien , and still to come the aliens super recovery move !

I'm not going to comment on what roles are left, but everyone seems to be certain that there are at least two aliens left. Why? The rules state a minimum of 1 Evil Alien and two are already dead. They could be just down to the Host. I'm not saying whether they are or not, but it seems odd that nobody has picked up on it.
