Whereas I was popping brain cells left and right trying to get some cooperative manipulation going ;)

I'm tempted to end it here, because barring some shocking idiocy (not unprecidented, I agree!) it's all over. Not sure whether to let it play out.

Let it play out. If I was the SK I would be upset to let it be presumed I couldn't win, even if it is almost impossible.

I'm playing around with the idea of what if there's not actually a hooker. It does make for some quite interesting reading - and somewhat more plausible as compared to the usual "But what if" schemes people come up with.

Fake roleclaiming is brave with a 0-1 role, but if you get it right, it can completely turn the game around.

Because the mafia godfather is actually doing a very good job of confusing what was a fairly foolproof plan, and good on him.

The Godfather has to ensure the SK stays alive, as it's his only chance of killing the known townies. Meanwhile, the SK has a problem, as he took down the mafia far too quickly. Chances are better for a mafia draw than a SK win.

I think reducing the deadline and having more strict deadlines for any subsequent days would be good here, everyone would have to get their arse in gear and decide a little more. A time-out for the town would only be good for the SK

Bank Holiday is considered to be something of a special case I suppose. It's also fairer on the people who have considerably more of a life that we do ;)

But yeah, this day could certainly use some moving, especially as we know (and they don't) that it's all but over.

Exactly. Bank holidays and weekends tend to be a terrible time to finish a day period.

Christ. I can't believe the remaining townies took so long to lynch me! My fervered defence featured my usual anger and indignation, but alas my lies let me down.

I tried to play it as a townie so as not to arouse suspicion, but then ended up being more of a vigilante than a SK by offing mafia left, right and centre.

Cracking game though.

Craster, how within the rules would it be for them to find my diary saying how I'm just finishing licking the bowl on the candyfloss machine, and then I'm going over to Plissken's house to see my accomplice? That would shit them right up.

FINALLY!

I get given access to this thread days after I die.

CG, a question.

Why, since you were a townie, did you lie to them all about the info you gathered?

Er - he didn't. I gave him the wrong number because I can't count. He only got to check the number of townies on Night 1, because he was roleblocked on night 2.

*shakes fist*

Were we real Mafia, we would have released the goat pictures. You were practically screaming that you were being blackmailed!

A shame that Teh Gaywood got killed so early on. Without the blackmailer we were essentially dead and buried due to the small number of Mafia players and the towns ability to protect their own with their anti-Mafia roles. Had he lived and continually blackmailed the cop, it might have turned out very differently.

Well played to the town though!

Yes. I did.

I think it would've been more interesting to have more 0-1 roles. and more that were actually 0 - allowing for some gambling. People were remarkably believing (And in some cases, I'd argue wrongly so)

(Oh, and I did manage to call the SK correctly in the emails between the mafia. Go me.)

Also "However, the Italians have quite clearly figured it out, especially as I was forced to go much further than I planned after the mob turned my way." just before the vote.

Which I don't think was at all right.

Absolutely. I should have put some roles in that weren't actually in the game. Still, there was lots of fun speculation at the end there around 'what if the prozzie/cop don't actually exist?'

I'm actually quite disappointed Runcle was the prossie. It does now beg the question quite why some his logic was so clearly dodgy though.

It hurts me inside to think how differently this game would have ended if Plissken had been modkilled for his blatant "I'M BEING BLACKMAILED! HEY! GUYS!" posting ;)

I mean, how the fuck did none of you townies pick up on him saying that "the Italians have quite clearly figured it out, especially as I was forced to go much further than I planned after the mob turned my way."

I'm a cop on the edge. I have brushes with authority. I bend the rules.

But I got the results, goddamnit!

It was a joint decision ;)

Incidentally, we went for Dudley on the first night because we thought he seemed to be playing a bit out of character and might have been the SK. Not noticing myoptika's blatant roleclaim was the thing that set off alarm bells in my head, from reading the Dead Threads in previous games Dudley's always been proper switched on when it comes to punny roleclaims ;)

Yup, Dave called Mr Russ as being either the Medic or the SK simply because he was too quiet. If only we'd listened to you, Dave. If only.

If you'd listened to me then, what would've happened is surely that both me and Mr Russ would've died that night, Curiosity would've been lynched the next day (as he'd been found out) and the result would've stood as it does now. That basically, the SK won the game for the town.

Yeah no idea how I didn't spot that.

But I was playing different because last time being me got me killed.

Bah.

The irony of the whole thing is I've never once not been on the side of the town at the start and it still hasn't helped me.

That said, I have won 2/4 I've attempted (the cult with you and the town in this).

Not through choice. Two of the days' game threads were locked before I had a chance to post. A fast moving game in the middle there.

And yes, it was a lie about having received a PM about the hooker. It might have been believed had Craster not flat out denied sending it.

Also I had you down for being dodgy aswell because of your actually being normal, and then my coins said the same, then plissken put doubt on the whole thing. So trust instincts seems to be the policy.

Are my coins meta data yet?

I nearly killed you first because of the coins thing, but then deiced it would be too suspicious as you were being vocal about your suspicions of me ;)
