2/3 people that Trooper is suspicious of are - surprise - the ones that are talking the most.

I should shut up like everyone else.

Oi, I actually had a phone call when I was typing. I work in an office y'know.

Besides, erm, I am a bit of an idiot and you know I'll join the bandwagon as soon as it starts. Choo-Choo! Get on the HYPE TRAIN. No, that's the other thing.

Big FOS at Trooper for talking too much.

(is that how this thing works again. Where's my button?)

I couldn't make it 3/3 otherwise I would have to be suspicious of myself... and this isn't one of my games, so I don't think we need to worry about trusting ourselves :D

Look its always the same , the noisy people seem the most suspect so are often voted out first and then everyone who could make people actually try and work as a team are gone and the mafia come out on top or the cop role claims and there is a spark of interest until they are killed and then its random stabs in the dark.

Day 1 is a pretty much random draw , you get people to vote and see what happens - you *should* get conflict , you should get alliances , you should get disagreements and as time goes on those should help the town (and the baddies) to work out who is who

If we all just vote for someone because we always vote for them then thats not really going to help.

There is also the fact that we know people on here are good at the game , and as such they are often targetted both by the good side and the bad side because they are 'dangerous' which is why the blind scum stuff has worked well in the past because it removes that personal bias that people start with.

Its day 1 , we should vote to check and see if someone here is a poisoner , and as such we just need to pick a person and agree on it.

The signal to noise stuff is useful to see but can be distracting (remember there are people who have said they will only be able to check in once or twice a day) so we should not go 100% with that but we can use the info from it at times to spot people who are trying too much to blend into the background.

So day 1 , I'm voting for Malia for purely selfish reasons and thats because in previous games his family have shown themselves to be untrustworthy as they made claims which were not true , as I've explained this is a bad reason to vote for someone but its at least a reason.

I imagine we're not likely to get much until we lynch someone and see what happens in the morning, most first days are always like this, the talkies argue that they are talking too much then the ones who talk are systematically offed by the mafia/serial killer. I'm only FoSsing bobby for no reason really, seems a good a guess as any.

Ok, I've come up with a battle plan:

1) There's the usual suspects who are quiet because, well, they can't post during the day.
2) Then there's the usual suspects who are quiet but we know have been posting during the day. This is FOSing behaviour because I've also deduced, having played a handful of games, that there are some usual suspects who know that being quiet will somehow grant them immunity/anonymity for FOSing. And it usually works!

But not today.

Step forward Mr Russell. He's a No.2.

I'm sure I've seen his name on the list of people browing the forum below; so join me people, join me in making an early decisive decision and culling a baddie. Come on, you know it makes sense. You know I've had loads of good ideas in previous games. It's bound to succeed. Go Town!

[vote: Mr Russell]

Oh NO! All those poisoned people :'(

I think I'm going to be very careful about my food too, and drink, and.. but we don't know how they've been poisoned! Maybe it's an injection? Or poisoned dart? Or... *thinks* how else do you poison someone?? Either way, I shall be on my guard, I don't want to get poisoned *looks scared*

I see we have the same lovely pattern as always! Noisy ones get FOSed, quiet ones get ignored, tomorrow everyone changes their mind as we end up lynching a noisy who wasn't actually bad... I'm tempted to pull names out of a hat and pick someone that way for today, as there's no real FOS for me at the moment!

I'll say again, like I have said before, in many previous lives. Talking is what gives us information, that provokes interactions and votes, and when the cookies are crumbled we can then work what that information is telling us.

I've thrown out a theory of sorts, people will react to it, we get information.

You'll note I haven't actually voted for a talkative person.

Who would have access to both the police and Mayor? And all of them at that. Was there some big 'do' on or something?

Woah, woah, woah!

I'd like to point out that a relative of Grim... told an absolute whopper of a lie to everyone, who all believed it, and despite the best efforts of my late cousin, you all ignored him and Grim..'s relative turned out to be evil and finished off the town. I'm FOS you for bringing this up i an effort to get a quick hit on a town member, an, as such, money where my mouth is

Have a counter:

bobbyaro: 1 (nickachu)
mr russell: 1 (Saturnalian)
sdg: 1 (Bobbyaro)
cras: 1 (Grim...)
zaphod79: 1 (MaliA)
malia: 3 (zaphod79, sdg, Trooper)

Not voted: 9 (cras, davpaz, mr russell, gazchap, goddess jasmine, malc, joans, thefirefaerie, zeppo)

With 17 players alive, 9 votes are required for a lynch, and 9 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

I agree with Zaphod and others that we are shooting in the dark here, so I'm going to pick someone from the list of people already voted and vote for them. I don't want to bandwagon Malia yet, so it's one of the others: [vote:Mr Russell]

Grim... Zaphod, Saturnalia are suss to me right now. Saturalian said he had a messgae from someone, Grim...'s cousin made up an entire role for himself which was a big fib and you're backing attention on to me, so you're well suss! Vote Zaphod79!

Yeah, a client: in the real world. Anyhoo, and I'm not just saying this cause I said it, but my idea clearly was the most well thought out. Voting off the talkies on day uno is stoopidio.
