Maybe that's what my Van Helsing class should get instead of autokilling the vamp sire... interesting.

But I agree. Maybe only Vanilla townies should be able to be converted, with a class that would know who the leader was if they were gone after.

Nah, I think the rules for the cult are fine. I don't think they'll be as strong next time round (if there is a cult leader in the next one).

Can you run a game with mroe than 20 people or does it just become unwieldly?

I don't think there'd be too much difference with, say, 21 people, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

YES. TWICE now. Fucking hell, if that wasn't the most incompetent townie display ever.... How CG surviced at all is beyond me, and how did so many people not work out that Grim... was all but guaranteed to be a cultist after he said who he was? Same goes for Dimrill.

I hope I'm not on the town's side for the next one. I look forward to mafia-ing the bastard lot, it must be far les stressful.

Yeah, a few hours afterwards I'm really on.

"HOW THE FUCKING FUCKING FUCK FUCK FUCKING BASTARDING FUCKING HELL DID WE WIN THAT?"

They had SO many chances, we were about as transparent as a brick wall painted black during at least 2 votes. A drunk monkey would have known who 2 of the cultists were and an even drunker stoned monkey would have spotted the mafia were almost certainly gone. And the monkey's dad, who can't even work a computer and didn't read the thread should have known the cult were on at least 4 and were probably the big threat.

I certainly genuinely had you pegged as mafia Lace, same with bluey. That wasn't cult, that was you being useless.

Really it's all your fault ;)

Congratulations CG, it was a bit of a giveaway catching up on the last 2 gamedays with your new avatar in place.
I think you've pretty much guaranteed a first day lynching every time you play this game from now on.
But seriously people, Grim... recruited into the cult on the first night, after announcing that he had a power and was in a role that could be recruited. What a shock!
It's funny that everyone just seemed to leave CG alone though, like they were expecting someone else to kill him.

This is exactly why we in the mafia didn't off him. Seemed like the crowd would do it for us. And whilst it was obvious Grim... would have been recruited, I figured (wrongly) that going after the SK and the cult leader was more important than a rank-and-file cultist.

I had grim, comical and dimrill pegged early on, but as I had accused them all publically on various occasions I didn't think I could safely SK them without potentially outing myself.

day 1Craig was clearly a character, so he went first.

day 2Pundy was massively obviously a mafia goon, given the voting.

day 3Nervouspete was a stab in the dark, which didn't pan out.

I was going to SK dudley on day 4 as I wanted to go after someone I had firmer suspicions of but hadn't yet been accusing too loudly. Turns out I was right about him too!

I should have taken my own advice and not killed every night, but then I had been pegged as sk anyway as Comical tried to recruit me so the jig was, as they say, very much up. I'm flattered he wanted me on the team, though!

And that's the thing I found most staggering - that noone believed Grim... when he claimed to be the scientist.

In the instance that that happened, what would happen? The real scientist would out him (The scientist at that time being a ticking time bomb) or at least vote for him, and he'd die. I doubt someone would be daft to roleclaim when they're just a townie *glances at Mr Russ*.

It wouldn't be a risk worth taking for any of the bad guys.

Because only mafia or cult would have a reason to lie about it?

Mafia person claiming to be the scientist might cause the scientist to expose himself. In that case, the mafia would be able to single out and kill off the scientist (possibly even convince the town to lynch him that day, wasting a town lynch) at the cost of one mafia goon. It could be worth it with more goons, as the Scientist is potentially the most powerful townie. It might backfire if there's a doctor in the game, though.

Either way, the scientist piping up is a guaranteed cultist the next day.
