No more so than you, Mr Thread Unlocking Guy.

Anyway, my original issue was with Gaz's assertion that as the GBs hadn't acted on night one, Slimer wouldn't or shouldn't have switched on night 2. It'll be interesting to see if he/she goes back to their original choice tonight and the GBs are once again inactive.

You're no use to us in this game. You've popped in to spout ill-informed nonsense and little else. You're next on my list.

Well, if you're slimer, then speak up, as you may have a chance of stopping yourself being killed.
If you're vigo, tell us your information, as any new information you get tonight will also be released.
If you're peck, then you probably won't die overnight if the GBs know.

If you're a GB/SK... then I'd rather you die.

Actually, I had wondered yesterday about Gazchap, for the whole 'roleclaim by Slimer' thing after people had started to think that the roleclaim was not a good tactic and Gazchap posted:
Gazchap wrote:
I was thinking that perhaps the action order would be Roleblock -> Bust, except where a Ghostbuster targets Slimer in which case it would be Bust -> Roleblock.

This is a bit silly, in retrospect.

Consequently, if the order is ALWAYS Roleblock -> Bust, then (if Slimer did hit a Buster) a role reveal by Slimer isn't actually that bad an idea, the Busters can't touch him anyway and as long as the known Buster is kept alive then Slimer would be protected (we would know who he was so wouldn't lynch him) and if he told us the known Buster we would prevent them being lynched too.

But I have just been reading back over this and Gazchap does pretty much keep repeating to Slimer not to out himself yet and to wait another night to see if he role-blocked the same person there was another night without a bust.

As that idea had been planted I am surprised that the GBs did not withhold from busting for a second night in a row, to plant that idea further and encourage a role-reveal, knowing that we are most likely going to keep whittling down our own numbers ourselves just because of the probability of hitting a ghost rather than a buster.

Anyway, it caused me to not suspect Gazchap so much any more, so I am back to square one in my thinking.

Well, when I started writing the post I was actually pretty sure it was Gazchap. When I went back to gather my quotes to prove my point though I started to realise I might be on the wrong track.

I am now looking into someone else. It could be yoooouuuu.

(It isn't you)

(yet)

OK, watch my mind work, part two:

After GazChap wrote:
Quote:
Consequently, if the order is ALWAYS Roleblock -> Bust, then (if Slimer did hit a Buster) a role reveal by Slimer isn't actually that bad an idea, the Busters can't touch him anyway and as long as the known Buster is kept alive then Slimer would be protected (we would know who he was so wouldn't lynch him) and if he told us the known Buster we would prevent them being lynched too.

Kalmar said:
Quote:
OK, that's actually pretty clever.
+ It would identify that buster so we wouldn't be influenced by them.
+ We'd be able to have a look at their voting pattern / working together with other possible busters.

Up until the serial killers kill Slimer, of course.

A little later, Zaphod wrote:
Quote:
I cant see the advantage of them not doing anything

And Gazchap gave the reply:
Quote:
Lulling us ghosts (and Slimer) into a false sense of security about the roleblock carried out last night, in the hope that it would make Slimer reveal himself thinking he could protect himself?

But then Kalmar says:
Quote:
I don't think that's terribly likely to be honest. The GBs don't look to be in a very powerful position at the start of the game, numbers or powers wise, so they'd want to get on with knocking off ghosties both by influencing the lynch and daytime actions.

I'm not sure whether it'd be a good thing or not for Slimer to reveal at this stage. It's risky but also potentially a good gamble for us if he does.

I think it is possible he is trying to persuade people of the unliklihood of the GBs not acting and might be trying to gently push for a role reveal, but adds the 'I'm not sure' bit in to make it seem less like he is suggesting this is the best course of action.

When people repeat they now think it is a bad idea (The dearly departed A78i70807):
Quote:
I thought it was a bloody terrible idea?

Kalmar still states its virtues:
Quote:
With Gazchap's addition, to sneakily keep them alive and in deadlock, it has merit.

Well, it is literally the only thing that I have noticed, and may be related to nothing and is probably just Kalmar genuinely thinking that it is the right thing to do, but it is all I have noticed and might be something to read over to help people make up their own minds. I had best go and read what Craster has written as everyone seems to think him likely and I haven't picked up on anything yet.

FWIW, I don't think Craster is particularly scummy, but at this moment in time, what other options are there? There is literally no one else with a vote against them.

Sorry I haven't been able to get on till now (our rather elderly cat had a stroke & had to go for one last visit to the vet :( )

Umm... not terribly convinced by anyone atm, so happy to pitch in with those wiser (or at least more paranoid) than me:
[vote: Craster]

I've just looked back over Craster and don't really see much, either. That said, Kalmar also seems to align himself with Rev Owen and Albinokid for the first couple of days, and they were proved innocent.

Kalmar has voted in both lynchings, but never for the person who was actually lynched. Both times he has voted for someone who nobody else has voted for.

They can't all be GBs, though, and I doubt they'd make it so obvious as to do so. The day timing out doesn't affect them as badly as if it does for us (theoretically).

Quite. We need a vote, and to hope Craster is someone we wanted to hit. We can be sure he's not someone we really don't want to hit.

What we need is some information , today has been really terrible for trying to get anything sorted just because its that quiet - the last 2 pages have pretty much been the run against Craster , and before that there was nothing.

If no-one talks then no-one slips up , and we cant find anything out , the only other things that tell us anything are the 'deaths' so the one tonight , and the possible lynch today

So if today does time out :

Not voted: 8 (cpt_droman, craster, joans, kalmar, kovacsc, malc, mr russell, runcle)

I can understand Craster not voting for himself but why have the others on this list not voted ? (if not for Craster - then why not for anyone?)

yeah, I do feel like I have just put my vote in and not really believed it to be honest, but I think that's because a couple have people have cast doubt on me for note voting in the last two lynchings (even though the two people that have been lynched were proven innocent).

I've given reasons for who I think we might have had a further look at, but that tide won't turn in the next ten minutes.

I actually don't want to vote for Craster because I do not understand where the suspicion comes from, but then if I am suspicious purely on the fact that I haven't voted in any of the three days I want to save my own skin more than his. :p

I think that is it, Myp. There are ten minutes left - the day timing out will not affect the GBs negatively.

That said, maybe it is more harmful for us to shoot and hit a ghost than to not lynch at all?

As you swirl around him, Craster screams out "Ungrateful little yuppie larva. After everything we did for this city!".
He collapses.

Craster was Ray Stanz, a GhostBuster.

Night actions by 9am Monday. The day won't start before that.
