I don't speak for morte, but what else am I meant to say?

This whole thing is about accusing people and seeing how they react, I think SDG is suspect (I mentioned this earlier today, and yesterday too) and I think you accusing Morte and I is suspect too. But then, I thought the same of Myp and Curiosity, it's very easy to jump at shadows. I also think, taking a step back, that my suspicion of you is reinforced by my obvious natural reaction of defending myself.

I've said before that I am happy to be put up for nomination, I said it on day 1, and I'll say it now. and (I'll expect people to compare this to what morte said) morte is right, The only real way for the party to get information is to kick people out, even if they turn out to be innocent, I am innocent, and if I get kicked out, pay very close attention to the people pushing for it.

The other thing of course is that if I don't get kicked out, and someone who I think is suspect is actually innocent, then that will also make me look bad, so it's almost preferable to get kicked out and be proven innocent, than it is, to be kept in and have more accusations levelled at me. Almost, but not quite.

Malc

The honorable gentelman is talking utter piffle!

If/when we get the chop and are proved innocent, and accusations we have now (pointing out people who seem to be particularly for us being ejected) will gain weight. We can't talk once we're gone - so with the threat of losing the expense account looming - its time for us to point the finger while we can. If we were rebels, it would be just hot air, if we are loyal then we can still contribute our input & analysis before the chop - safe in the knowledge that revealing our status would make our observations more valid for those loyalists that remain.

Would you prefer "Oh, its a fair cop guv, I'm a baddun & theres no mistake."?
Cos it ain't happening.

So going by the talking ... what talking ? this is a very quiet thread , and we need to make a decision on who we're chucking out by the end of today.

There have been reasonable ideas thrown around and some people have stepped in to say "well thats fine - chuck me out if you like' - shouldnt we have some type of .... you know .... debate on this ?

For the current players :

The fact that Morte doesnt seem to be participating says to me either he really is not participating and is going to be mod-killed , or he's a power role and is keeping his head so low its underground.

Plis made some good points about Mr Dom and Malc and does seem to be making sence but is this just a way of the rebels getting us to all do what they want ?

SDG has been saying she doesnt know who to vote for and is unsure of everything , but Mr Chris spoke up for her the only time it looked like she would be in the firing line (are they in cahoots?)

What does Mr Chris bring to the group ?

Runcle still has not produced the coins , is he holding us all to ransom because of it , or has he spent them in a dodgy buisness deal ?

Kalamar seems to be just sitting under the radar , enough things going on but he's not exactly made any real impact on things ?

We have about 6 hours to root out at least one 'baddie' in our midst , if we dont even talk we're never going to get it and it will just be a randomish choice.

Right now the finger of suspicion seems to be on Mr Dom and Malc , what are you two thinking , who do you suspect and why ?

*Drags the speaker to the seat*

I was starting to think that *anyone* talking isn't rebel, but I'll agree with the general vibe that Dom / Malc seem to be playing from the same hymn sheet and seem the most dodgy out of the assembled company.
It's tempting to take out someone completely silent like Morte but I don't want to make the same mistake we made with Joans.

I didn't see Zaphod's message before I posted there, by the way. I was a bit quiet yesterday, busy counting my moneyconstituents letters.

Of course I'm saying I'm not sure, I don't know who anybody is so basically every accusation I make is a shot in the dark and one which could backfire since if I get suspicious of someone who is proved to be faithful it makes me look dodgy.
I think I was suspicious of Myp and Curiosity right at the start but they were both good, so that doesn't really help me out but if we look at votes then I think all of us have stuck in a vote at some point for someone who was innocent.

Let's face it, the only bad guy to go so far has been The Rev Owen and none of us even suspected him, so we really have nothing to go on at all except for vague feelings. Maybe it would be better to kick off someone who has been quiet like Morte but I agree with Kalmar, we could shooting ourselves in the foot. If we can get someone who has been talking then if they are proved to be faithful at least we should have some more to go on for the next day, so for the sake of our sanity how about we try to get some more debate today and then arrange to get a vote done about 2/2.30 to be sure we get enough people voting before the day times out?

One way or another, time to put the feet to the fire and make the tough decisions. It may not be popular with the public, but that is what leadership is about.
