It's good, isn't it? Hard, though. I've only got to the "easy" ending once.

I've not got to any ending yet, but yes it's great (and hard as nails). One time I had all my consumables under control but I got flung through a wormhole and found myself stranded with nowhere within flying distance. >:(

I've found the Tau thingy to increase your space folder range and the geoscan to be essential to a good game. Unfortunately finding these things is too luck-based for my liking. Everything has to come together for a good run.

Yeah, it's on PSN under the PS2 Classics range.

<18.79> - South Park The Stick Of Truth : http://savygamer.co.uk/2014/03/24/south ... -pc-18-79/ - a bit of a faff (buying cards and then using those to buy the game) but it works

I haven't contributed to this thread yet, but I guess there's no time like the present to get involved.

So, so far this year I have purchased:

<14.99> - Crusader Kings 2 (Mac/PC)
<8.88> - DLC tracks for Rocksmith 2014 (Mac/PC)
<5.49> - TxK (PS Vita)
<11.99> - The Last Of Us: Left Behind (PS3)
<7.99> - Ys Chronicles I & II (PSP/Vita)
<0.99> - Deus Ex: The Fall (Android)
<5.83> - Luftrausers (PS3/Vita)
<4.99> - Bioshock Infinite (Mac/PC)

£61.15 total. Eeesh.

That's 1.5 full price console games. What's the problem?

Well, I'm meant to be being sensible with my purchasing this year and I was planning on getting either MGSV: Ground Zeroes or Diablo III at some point this week (just maxed out the starter version of D3 so want to continue - though £33 seems a bit steep for a game that came out in 2012).

Also, I haven't even touched Crusader Kings 2 or Deus Ex: The Fall (although it was a quid, so I won't lose any sleep over that one).

Look you wanted one - thats a great price and you'll enjoy playing games on it !

The only real downside is that your going to take a trip to an alternative house of frasier store at the weekend and find they have an electrical section and you could have bought it from there :-)

14, which suggests it is the latest in a franchise.

Oh right, no. It's the year of course. It's the first game in the franchise! :insincere:

Also nothing wrong with the PS3 (now). Having spent an extensive time with both PS3 and 360, I'd argue it's been the better console since c2010.

Well yes, I gathered that it was the year :D
Strange to start with a year nomenclature, it's almost as if they think it will sell enough to get a sequel ;)

The control pad's still shite mind.

Relatedly, I was killing five minutes in Game over lunch time and the PS4 control pad does seem like a massive improvement. I couldn't say for sure though because why would you want people to be able to actually play any games on your demo machine when, instead, you could just unplug the controllers and use it as player for the endlessly looped promotional video that doesn't show any game play? The Wii U machine was the same; cued up to the title screen of Rayman with 'PRESS START' flashing tantalisingly but no fucking response from the controller. What's the thinking behind that? Why would you do it? Fucking shitwits.

It stops kids from treating the place like an arcade doesn't it? Stil, they should show something that shows the game off though rather than a press start screen.

Yeah, the PS4 controller is much much better than the awful PS3 one. That's a definitively stated fact.

Having people playing with and enjoying your product is the point of having a demo station surely? Even if some kids were to monopolise it at least other people would be able to see some games actually running rather than just the horrible demo reel of Twat 1 inviting Twat 2 to play games with him/her. It just seems counter-productive to me, especially in a city centre on a Monday lunch time when you're not likely to attract many kids.
