I've had a headache for about a month now, on and off.

Might go get my brain scanned again.

about! again! i've!

Also, I had that in September/October, which is odd as I very rarely get headaches. I got my eyes tested, then grudgingly went along to a doctor who determined it was being caused by my teeth, and told me to go and see a dentist. I told him to fuck off, because I don't like dentists, and I'd just wait for it to go away, which it eventually did (and turned into God-awful toothache instead).

It's just down the road, but I usually go to Sainsbury's because it's cheaper

Got those.

It might be my eyes. I spend forever looking at screens, and my glasses are fucked. It's either that or my teeth or my sinuses or my blood pressure or a tumour or something.

I'm seeing someone who went through this, he was grumpy and tired too (not suggesting you are...) and one week, he had a really bad head cold and almost passed out when he stood up from his desk at work. Our MD sent him to the doctor, who then sent him to A&E and within 36hrs, he was scheduled for MedEvac to Liverpool to get a golf ball sized tumour removed. They would have had to put him on a helicopter because the planes altitude could have killed him. Fortunately, it didn't come to that as another specialist believed it to be non life-threatening so instead he was signed off for 3 months and given awesome drugs to reduce it so he didn't go blind.

But I'm sure it won't be that :P

I had a scan done six months ago for another reason, and have a follow up due about now, so hopefully I'm still all clear and just wearing the wrong glasses or something is it.

Maybe, but I'd go batshit crazy if I had one of those hand held terminals beeping at me every 30 seconds. It'd be like working in that factory in Metropolis.

Hmmm. Just switched over from O2 to 3 and with the 3 SIM card in my phone my download never makes it over 0.8Mbps. I can see from the icon at the top of the phone that it's never cycling up from H to H+ which I assume is at least part of the problem. I've tested it in a number of locations this morning in which, on O2, the same handset gave expected speeds so it's not the phone. A mate of mine on 3 gets the usual 3-4Mbps down when running a test at work with our phones side by side so it's not the network. Is there some kind of 'settling in' period I can expect here or something? Or is is possible for certain handset/network combinations to just not like each other?

Moral Maze question of the day:

If you see someone leave their headlights on in the car park, is it okay not to tell them if they work in HR?

There is one family who live down the road & drive a Vauxhall Zafira, I have knocked on their door three times this year because twice he left his lights on & once because he had a flat. On Sunday driving pass his passenger door was open & I thought sod it !! So I ignored it.

I realise I'm just self-indulgently ranting here but: fucking Three! After a day or so spent on their network it seems that their service is just so hilariously variable as to be useless unless you spend all your time in one of their coverage brightspots. Roaming across Glasgow city centre yesterday I rarely saw anything above 1MB and frequently ended up getting near dial-up speeds; except for a single spot in my office where I could get about 4MB. I ran a few tests when I got home and it seems my kitchen is some kind of Three signal nexus as I could repeatably get 13MB (!) down while standing there and about 8MB in my bathroom. This morning at the train station near my house I got a decent speed (versus the near fuck all I got yesterday) but the closest I got to town the shitter it got.

Having hilariously high max speeds is totally useless if that's matched with massive spots of terrible performance; what use is that in a mobile network? I can see me ending up going back to O2 but having to pay them shedloads more money than I was previously and not even getting unlimited data with that. This could end up being an expensive experiment...

Three was a disaster for me. Outright massive signal blackspots, no connectivity even when the phone was convinced I had full strength H+, dropped calls, the lot. Dumped them after six months (and that was fucking hard work) for EE, who've been good ever since, touch wood.

If the O2 network is any good for you then GiffGaff do unlimited data for £12 a month

Three are good in the midlands. I like them and their app.
