Yup, pretty sure that's where it originated mate. A most amusing lass imo. :D

I liked her referring to her fanny as her "spam folder".

Can you imagine going for a few beers with her - bet she's feckin' hilarious. Top lass.

Curiosity and I did have a beer with her once, sort of. We were talking at the bar at Up the Creek and she came on 5 minutes later as a performer. I do however remember nothing of the conversation, indeed, I don't actually remember ever having been to the Creek.

Awesome, definitely my kind of night out, on all fronts. :)

(Especially the 'beer scooter syndrome', man after my own heart...)

I'll cope. But only just.

I will organise burgers with Throughsilver at some point for burgers because that is what people that work in a city do it seems.

Have you done the linkedin thing yet?

Young (looking younger than DHMD, but actually from a few years later) NPH on Murder She Wrote on ITV3 right now!

Googling NPH should tell you everything you need to know about who that is (DHMD is more obscure than I thought), and ITV3 is the 3rd channel owned by Independent Television.

I can certainly understand why you'd be surprised that the acronym for the title of a 20 year old sitcom isn't instantly recognisable to anyone who sees it.

Ah DHMD. I had a mate who liked it. Wasn't so keen myself. BBC put it on the graveyard slot against Coronation Street presumably because it was cheaper than actually making something themselves and then watching it get spanked.

Inconceivable that a yank import could be on primetime BBC1 these days, but the BBC used to do it all of the time.

Did you know that these days the whole of ITV is actually Anglia Television? From wiki:

Quote:
In 2006, ITV plc swapped subsidiaries, which involved renaming Anglia Television Ltd as ITV Broadcasting Limited and vice versa. However, due to OFCOM licensing regulation, the new Anglia Television Limited could not take up the franchise, which means that the East Anglia franchise was effectively transferred to ITV Broadcasting Limited. All other ITV plc-owned franchises were transferred to ITV Broadcasting Limited in December 2008, meaning that technically, the former Anglia Television Limited now holds all ten licenses in England, Wales and southern Scotland.

First horrible train crash in Spain on Saturday. Then equally horrible coach crash in Italy on Sunday. And now two trains crash head-on into each other in Switzerland on Monday. WTF? 8)

That great way out of my financial woes has turned out to be a bit of a red herring. I've gone into the details in the Members Only forum, but it looks like I better get some cards printed to put in phone boxes around the area.

The problem I now have is that the idea I originally had puts my ex and my daughter's home at risk. And my current girlfriend, who's understanding and support I could really do with right now, has taken the attitude of "fuck your ex, sort yourself out". And I understand why she feels that way, but it's not reasonable.

I'm not going to be all emo and depressive - been there, done that - but fuck all this right now, seriously.

No, it's not. I can't imagine anyone with any morals wanting to make a child deliberately homeless, that's horrific.

Anyway, I can't offer any useful advice, but I genuinely hope it works out OK for you in the end Zio. I really do.

Honeymoon decided upon. Will book it tomorrow. Ignoring the leaking garage roof because I will not be able to see that in St. Lucia. New work ok. Wedding 70% organised. Stress levels high.

What an exciting day. Best moment was when a tank decided to show off for the camera, overcooked the corner in front of me and did a powerslide. Also guns, smoke and a whole fake town in the middle of nowhere!

And driving the Audi down a couple of miles of mucky gravel track. Grippy grippy, power power, grippy grip! Floor it from a standing start on all that muck and loose gravel and no drama at all!

Not allowed I'm afraid. All the footage is being copied right now to a hard drive, being sent off and that's the last I'll see of it. I'm not even editing it. I'm just the hired gun.

My wife has a tooth abscess which is causing her some grief. Because of this, I've taken the day off work to look after my daughter.

I'm going to Busy Babies at the church hall at half 9. Best morning ever!

I've been denied access to the IT Admin networks at work.

As my P45 is apparently not lost in the post it is a genuine problem and I have been assigned my own personal network services technician to work out what has gone wrong. 1hr 40 minutes and counting...

Brilliantly, I discovered this morning that I haven't been paid. I queried this with work this morning and they've discovered they've somehow messed up my bank account number and paid it into the wrong bank account. Except they did manage to pay me just fine last month... so someone's fucked up somewhere.

Indeed.

Although they've told me that if they can't get a transfer arranged today they'll write me a cheque. Which will get cashed in pronto, seeing as Friday is my last day here.

As predicted, the fun has begun.

Work told me to call my bank and ask if the payment is pending for me, because they swear they haven't changed any details and used the same (wrong) account number to pay me with last month.

So I called the bank and they say work are talking shit. Last month's payment went through normally with no intervention on the bank's part, so they must have had the correct account number then.

The person at work who's dealing with this for me has just left for lunch, so I'll have to wait till she gets back to look any further into this.

Oh joy.

Midday parent and toddler swimming sessions are to be recommended for this very reason.

They probably wouldn't let me in without a child.

Just grab one on your way in ?

I had my first traing session for my new job. The last one is on 31st October. Pretty much three a week or more. Everyone is super ace, journey on the train is ok and I have my own account to handle. This is a step up. And I get to leave early again today. And I found out where the pretty girls in Leeds work. V. Happy.
