It was posted online based on a premature Facebook ad someone saw, and then I got the advert in question myself on Facebook about half an hour ago so it seems legit.

Post subject:  Re: The PS Plus thread

A proper confirmed list rather than some “alleged” rubbish:

January on PSN:

Batman: TellTale yawn yawn snooze PS4
Deuce Ex: Mankind Divided PS4
Sacred 3, PS3
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, PS3
Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
Uncanny Valley, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
Starblood Arena PSVR

Now that’s how you does it right.

Also Zaphod can suck it.

I played the original Deus ex, couldn't get on with Deus ex 2, never played human Revolution. Am I missing enormous plot points if I skip to mankind divided or is it relatively self contained?

Author:  Doctor Glyndwr [ Thu Dec 28, 2017 10:19 ]
Post subject:  Re: The PS Plus thread

It’s mostly self-contained, a few ignorable callbacks to the other games. If you didn’t like Human Evolution I don’t think you’ll like Mankind Divided though. (I liked them both a lot.) (Addressing that to the wider beex audience.)

Note that HR and MD are prequels to the original games, also.

Post subject:  Re: The PS Plus thread

The main plot points:

Everyone who is mechanically augmented needs a drug to prevent their body rejecting the augs.

Except Adam Jensen, who you play as. Who didn't ask for this. ('This' being 'augmented into a super badass killing machine with elbow chisels and super fucking cool shades that retract into his face')

For some reason some people are racist against people with augments. Which seems to be a bit silly. Be nice to people who can punch your head clean off!

The most important plot points for the second game: a nasty person sent out a signal that made augments go crazy, and it got messy. This makes people even more racist against augments.

Also nasty person's lair was on a big thingy in the sea and it was destroyed, with Adam on it. Adam was somehow rescued.

That's pretty much it.

Super enjoying Uncanny Valley this month. It reminds me (and was probably made by the same people) who did that other PS+ psychological horror game, erm, thingy. Y’know the one...multiple endings, chased by zombies, pixel graphix... yeah, that one.

It was, of course, Lone Survivor and not, say, Home. Both were mucho excellento.

I played it through once and got the
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Misery style ending where the woman cuts off all your limbs to stop you escaping again
but I couldn't be bothered to go back and try something different the next time. I just found all the continual trudging through the same screens annoying enough to put me off multiple playthroughs.

There's a 'visual novel' game based on an anime called PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness that was only supposed to be free with PS+ in the North America region for some reason but it's now available for us EU folks as well and I've just grabbed it via the Playstation app. It doesn't show up as free on the PSN website but apparently that updates when you add it and go to the checkout:

FIRST AGAIN. February games:-

Knack (PS4)
RiME (PS4)
StarBlood Arena (PS Plus bonus – PS VR required)
Spelunker HD (PS3)
Mugen Souls Z (PS3)
Exiles End (PS Vita)
Grand Kingdom (PS Vita & PS4)

Nice to see Rime in there. Glad I didn’t drop any cash on that now. Knack can seriously suck a dick.

Fuck balls, I was kind of hoping this month would have nothing I care about given how much of life Bloodborne is likely to take to finish.

Author:  Bamba [ Wed Mar 28, 2018 20:30 ]
Post subject:  Re: The PS Plus thread

Although someone on Reddit had this to say so the VR part sounds pretty short and not too vomity:

Quote:
Trackmania in VR is amazing, but...

I played through the entire experience getting a gold medal on all 40 tracks in about 1-2 hours or so. The game looks absolutely amazing, I'd say it's probably the sharpest, prettiest game I've tried, and it works really well.

But that's it, just 40 easy tracks.

The VR is extremely well implemented to not make you sick. When you crash it doesn't go all Drive Club on you and spin your view around like a jerk, it just lets the camera keep moving in the same direction it was going when you crashed and fades to black. This is the way to do VR racing games. An optional cockpit perspective would've helped, but you can't have it all.

But don't get this just for the VR. It's just too short for that. It'll just make you wish the whole thing was in VR, but I guess with these amazing visuals, they probably just couldn't make multiplayer and bigger tracks work, so they neutered the game. What it does, however, is showcase the huge potential for racing games in VR. Driveclub wasn't ready, but this is. A very polished experience, and as a free upgrade for owners of the game, I really can't complain.

If the worst thing I can say about a free upgrade is that I wish there was more of it, then that is alright in my book.

Have I invented it in my head or was Trackmania Turbo not a PS+ game recently? I just finally got round to firing it up to check out the VR mode but it's just the demo I've got and it wants £25 to unlock the full game.

If you 'bought it' by adding it to your trolly and then hitting purchase you should have the full game
If you did not then you'll just have the demo - i've not see any where you had to download or do anything in game to unlock - worth looking at your purchase history on the PSN store or if you keep the emails check for the one you got that month to make sure you added it - my email from them was dated 3rd of April :
