Online store prices are almost always massively more expensive, which has been true for like the last ten years. I'm surprised you're only just realising this.

If I want something I usually put it in psprices.com and get a nice reminder when it is discounted.. (today e.g. quite new dreams ins discounted to 29 euros)

I got city skylines on the mac , but it didn’t really have the simcity feeling, but just irritated me, the transportation interface was horrible.. so interested to see if they fixed it in this ps versuon.

It shows free for me on the store page and in my basket, but goes back up to £50 when I get to the actual payment page; which is iffy as fuck if I wasn't paying attention.

I know not useful this time around but for next year if your still using PSN then look around Black Friday or on Amazon Prime day as PSN subscriptions are often featured and you'd have saved another tenner or so - and when you activate it then it just extends the length of your subscription

I guess my son will need his own soon.. He has a local account on my 'primary' PlayStation. Using my next one as a secondary, so I can share games with him upstairs.

So the answer to this is actually more a yes and no question - you probably don't need another one depending on what your doing.

If you login to your sons Playstation and set it as your 'primary' device then anyone on that Playstation can use PSN and you can download your PSN titles to it
If you then login to your own Playstation then whenever you are logged in you can download your PSN titles and play stuff online

The only thing you would not be able to do would be to have someone else play on your Playstation without you being logged in as well.

Worth giving it a try first to see if it would work for you - if it does not and you need to buy another PSN I'd seriously look at a non-UK one there are often deals for the US version or some other regions for around 1/2 the cost if your just getting PSN so he can play online.

So if you subscribe to ps plus for a year you can get ffvii remake for free? Am I right in thinking that makes it better value than the game as a standalone purchase then?

Or would it be better to buy the game and then sell it on after completion a few months later?

Its more versions - yes if you have a PS4 then getting it for free is great - however if you have a PS5 they just announced a free upgrade and then said you specifically don't get it for this one - it just seems a little .... mean spirited

PSN also doesn't let you buy games twice which is normally a good thing but it means if i redeem my free copy of FF7 and then decide at some point in the future i want the PS5 version i probably cant get it since i already have a restricted version of the main game

I'm wondering if you buy the PS5 Yuffie DLC if that gives you access to the upgrade if you have a PSN limited copy.

Anyway, it's all academic until 2056 when we can finally get a PS5.

Ah, glad i didn't final fantasy yet

Still, that block on buying one version if you've bought another is a really weird thing, for more games i would like to upgrade to full set (dlc etc) but it doesn't.. and e.g. i had steep a year before it was on ps+, but it didn't allow me to download it when it was on ps+

And will i get access to the ps5 games i can't put in my liubrary now? probably not, but that it makes it my 'fault' i don't have a ps5 yet, while we're all on a waiting list

(it's a bit like the 3ds ambassadors programme in reverse)
