There will be no bar at the wedding disco. Just boxes of undiluted Pepsi syrup + hot Vimto.

Every wondered why she never gets work anymore?

Might have something to do with how she was so foul to junior members of staff on her shows in the 80's and 90's. The same junior members of staff who are now middle ages TV executives who now won't give her the time of day.

Or it might be that she's about 90.

It's 10 years since she had a primetime show and she was the highest paid female presenter in the country at the time. Also it's fair to say it was perhaps unfortunate that LWT had a habit of promoting its staff up through the ranks, so what were junior members of staff in a period of 15 or so years ended up being senior and not looking on her favourably.

Not at all. She shouldn't have been a bitch.

What I meant was that it was "unfortunate" for her that the people she was foul to hung around. I.e being a cow bit her on the arse.

It's such an opposite description of Mimi it made me laugh out loud that you'd read it out of context.

Although rumour has it Mimi does indeed always demand seat 1A on a flight and will only be served champagne by non speaking cabin crew.

ZOMG. One month.

Should I be really, really nervous or something? I'm not, I'm just looking forward to seeing fantastic friends and having a good day, and to being married. I love my dress and shoes and all those things, of course, but I now both want the day to hurry up and be here and yet for time to slow dow so that it is not here too soon and then over in the blink of an eye.

We had our test photoshoot on Monday, which was half-reluctant fun: https://www.flickr.com/photos/eskimimi/ ... 731351040/

I'm really looking forward to having my hair done up for the day - my hair trial was great fun and I felt like a princess. Bought my frilly undies last night and everything. Amaze.

Can't even remember why I am posting now. Just excitement I guess. Whoop :)

I only got nervous when the ten minute drive on the morning turned into a 45 minute 'choose your own adventure' omnibus of lorries crashing and football queues.

But my body threw so much adrenaline at the problem I spent the rest of the day being totally unable to raise any kind of anxiety or stress, so I took it as a blessing in disguise.

I've become a bit of an infrequent visitor to these here parts nowadays and genuinely this is the first time I've even seen this thread! :D

Anyway, massively belated congratulations, although obviously I kind of knew what was going on via The Evil Facebook. I hope everything goes absolutely brilliantly on your big day - I'm positive it will! :-)
