Our bins are collected on Monday. Some cunt has left their bins out since Monday, and in the wind they have today propelled across the road and dented my car. Furious. Cunts.

I was thinking yesterday that we are lucky in some respects to have shared bins for the flats, as I never have to worry what day is bin day.

That, my friend, is a claim. Where there's blame there's, well, some muppet who doesn't think about his neighbours.

Brilliant, isn't it? We've got massive great bins that you just chuck stuff in whenever you feel like it.

The Rough Guide to Lewisham must be pretty thin if that qualifies as entertainment.

I like to be the first to chuck in massive great chunks of cardboard after installing the latest and greatest piece of IKEA furniture.

I swap between the big pink bin and the big black bin, depending on whether the rubbish is mainly mine or Mrs T.

It's nice that they have bins for both genders I think. I'm assuming the green bin is for transexuals.

Green is for hippies. We have little silver ones, which I think are for robots. They're only small, as robots are very efficient and produce little waste.

Half six they came this morning. Half six! I had to rush out, and only just got the bin to the man. I then thought I was late as they never turn up before half seven. End of days stuff.

Bin furore!.

Quote:
From Tuesday, March 15, the local authority will only empty one general waste (green) bin per week from each household, lids need to be closed and no extra bags of rubbish will be taken.

The council are obviously rolling in free cash if they can plan to expand the scale of their fly tipping division like that.

I work for a council and I can state that fly tipping definitely doesn't go up when bin collections are reduced.

Oh... No. Wait. I meant the other way round. It does go up.... Drastically.

How big are the green bins? Our general waste only gets collected once a fortnight and there's no problems.

Our bins are all full-sized wheelie bins, and the recycling one gets emptied one week and the green one the next (the black "general" bin gets emptied every week).

That's not often enough for recycling.

We have 4 recycle tubs.

Our council does not collect cardboard, so I do a tip run once a fortnight

We are meant to have orange bags for recycling, but we haven't had any delivered in months. Luckily there is a council recycling station next to the local primary school.
