It certainly is if you're Michael Hutchence.

Not a celebrity as such, the inventor of the Big Mac, died aged 98. He ran a 48 store franchise in his day

Doubt he ate much of his invention and lived to 98 though :DD

He has a lot to answer for, 2 minutes after i read this I wanted a Big Mac :)

Hmmm. Not sure if true. He wasn't terribly honest, anyway, and you never could tell if his story of what he invented was totally legit, or a whopper.

One of ELP (I think it was Greg Lake but can't fully remember or verify online) used to post on Dave Gorman's old message boards at a time I was on there.

Therefore he was practically my best mate and I am grief stricken.

John Glenn, first American astronaut to orbit the Earth, flying an (extremely unreliable and dangerous) Atlas-A rocket in his *tiny* 1-man Mercury capsule... the Right Stuff indeed.

God's Speed, RIP. :(

Yeah, I think he probably was. Or someone who just likes to court controversy, which isn't much better. Great restaurant critic though.

The thing with AA Gill was to not take him seriously, I remember the kerfuffle about his IOM comments at the time and thought 'our' response was wildly out of proportion, the Chief Minister of the time spoke in parliament about it and suchlike.

My take on it was the guy came here and didn't like it very much, and didn't rate the restaurant he went to, and he had a bit of a rant about it, as he was wont to do about things he didn't like very much - end of story. No point dignifying it with too much of a response was my opinion.

His writing was good but he was deliberately provocative and a polemicist, so not worth getting overly excited about overall.

Though she spent her life delivering others' lines, Gabor could turn a memorable phrase herself.

Pondering her good relations with her many ex-husbands, she said: "I never hated a man enough to give his diamonds back."

She also commented: "I am a marvellous housekeeper: Every time I leave a man I keep his house."

Don't know a lot about her, but this sounds funny.
