I don't know if we should colonise Mars with idiots. It'd be like America all over again. (/runs away)

Bit difficult in a solicitors firm as it's not a typical office hierarchy. They're funny old places to work, y'know.

And often full of cunts at senior level. Incompetent cunts, at that.

Any decent media player software should handle FLAC files and they're full CD quality rather than the compressed version of the audio you'll get with mp3 etc so they're worth listening to as is.

I thought that.. but I don't think Zune will recognise them. I'll try again tonight but in the mean time, I've got Grims... super converter so thanks for that.

Why is sorting a new video player module for the website so hard?

Running Joomla 1.5 and Allvideos Reloaded. That doesn't play nicely with iThings annoyingly.

Found a module that plays nicely that uses the lovely Flowplayer. Problem is the Javascript conflicts somewhere and the popup doesn't work. autoplay also refuses to work on iThings.

All because Steve Jobs took Flash off his devices. And ironically I use mp4's renamed as flv anyway so its not even real Flash. But it fools the newer versions of Flash into using their decoder and plays nicely.

Currently trying to help a customer who's scanned a document consisting of 295 full colour A3 sheets to the internal hard drive on his old-as-the-hills photocopier in PDF format. Every time he tries to retrieve the document, the machine gives him a 'Memory Error'. He's going nuts, as this apparently is an extremely important document.

"That is a very large document," I point out. "You might need to try scanning it again, only this time in blocks of fewer pages."

"I can't" says he. "I've already shredded it."

"Right..."

Seriously people.

I forgot to bring my D7000's battery charger with me to Amsterdam, but amazingly the camera's battery has lasted all week on just one bar, with the "warning" icon on display in the viewfinder.

Admittedly, I've not been taking as many photos as I might have done had the battery not been very low, but I've still taken a good 150 or so - many using the flash, too.

Also, fuck Nikon for apparently changing the make-up of the D7000's battery so much that none of the more common Nikon chargers (or even multi-chargers) on sale in Amsterdam fucking work with it, I've been hunting around for a charger all week and have tried about 4 or 5 different ones in shops, to no avail.

Yes, that was why I referred to the radioactive clotted cream.

We in Stroud, on the other hand, have a shit load of granite so have a radon risk. But that's still not as much of an issue as the ENDLESS FUCKING HIPPIES we're infested with.

My little (not little) brother is coming over tomorrow, on his way back to university. I've spend the day decorating treasure chests and taking pictures, and now I am knitting some socks I'm designing for a magazine, underneath a quilt that a friend made me for me. :luv:

All days should be more today-like.
