I think they're 1s but yeah the little things with the connectors on the end.

Sorry yeah meant 1s, servos and electrics must be tiny and light for these too? Did the kit come with it all or have you bought/borrowed for this one?

I got the pack with it but it's the same sort of stuff that's in e.g. that little mustang you used to have.

Ah right, still have that in a flyable state but it's Spektrum BNF.

It doesn't matter what it is if you're stripping the gear out or don't you have a Spektrum TX any more?

Just nabbed a kit version of the 6 legged robot that someone must have given up on for £7. I hope I can carry out my plan and not fall in love with it as is, this one has IR sensors!

Hmm... not as generous as the first few issues of the last couple of ‘part works’ mags.

Some savings to be had there though.

Just spotted the Kataphron Battle Servitors, might get those myself.

Nah never got none of not skittraRRIRIIIi. The buying plastic route is spenny even with the 20% off at local games shops. I prefer ethically sourced resin.

Hmm a lot of unfamiliar author names in that batch...

Not read any of these titles so couldn't say if any good but Dan Abnett is usually ok. I tend to read the Nurgle & Mechanicus ones PLUS ones Dimrill tells me are good :D

I'd wait for Dimmers to chip in on this.

Tier 1:
Anything by Demski-Bowden's worth reading. Double Eagle is good. Ciaphas Cain si great and the most light-hearted and comedic of all the grim darks.

Tier 2: now here's the meat

Blood Reaver is the first of the Night Lords trilogy by D-B and that's one of the finest trilogy of books in the entire setting.
Black Legion is the first in D-B's er, black legion trilogy. Still waiting for the third of that.
Josh Reynolds is excellent and Clonelord is great too.
Dark Apostle's passable but mostly unmemorable.
Lucius I've yet to read.

Tier 3:
Not read nuffink apart from the first book in the Beast Arises series and that was fuckin awful,

Been sliding back into my unmade models recently so of course I started looking for more. Pulled the trigger on this Tamiya 1:35 Tank kit as it was only £12.99 delivered. What a lovely pile of plastic is is too. Makes me baulk at GWs prices for what you get here for the money and I'll bet a pot of Nuln Oil that it goes together beautifully with no errors in the instructions!

Now, do I build as is or kit bash this as something more Mecha...

I guess the 'Walker' part of the name subliminally pushed me on! Only just dawned on me :D Anyway, here's my kit bashed mech - still going to faff about with bits but I'm happy enough to share as it is. Really enjoyed this, expect more.

Was about to buy some Vallejo metallic air paint but read they're a bit pap compared to the 'normal' paints. Has anyone tried them? Are Citadels metallic airbrush paints be better? Is it Dimrill?

Can't vouch for the air range, I just use https://www.everythingairbrush.com/prod ... ner-200ml/ to thin down whatever I need. Vallejo metals are excellent, except for the silvers. Strangely.

Also! I bought half a litre of Galeria Matt Medium for a tenner which'll last me the rest of my life with proper dilution. Instead I could've paid GW £5 for diluted 25ml which'd last two months or so.

I have only just seen images of man in tank. Nice jerb!

I have Galeria Myp Medium too, do you wang that through your airbrush too then? I currently have a mostly full rattle can of army painter matt varnish which is very good over decals.
