Tonight I have glued a Greater Daemon of Slaanesh together.

Apart from his head.

It'll be easier to paint with it off.

On my weekend away, my mates brother was there who works for Games Workshop. He paints all the stuff you see in the magazines so he's very good!

He told me that they're working on stuff two years in advance of it being in the shops.

You lot would love him... :luv:

To be honest I mostly paint and collect the stuff that's about 20years old or more.

So I'll hate him.

Yeah, I miss Cpt Droman. He worked at GW during the Lord of the Rings expansion. He used to order stuff to paint by weight. Hnnngh.

The horus heresy books - Horus Rising is the first one right? Is the Thousand Sons the second?

Ha! bollocks. This is one of the annoying things about Cras's Kindle - it doesn't tell you which book in the series a particular book is.

Thanks, Dimmers - much appreciated. I'll stop reading Thousand Sons until I've read the preceding ones. Which is a relief as it's bordering on unreadable.

Would Mechanicum be gobledegook if read in isolation?

I've read some of the preceding books but not all of them.

Legion, Deliverance Lost - Alpha Legion interestingness and their interaction with the Raven Guard

Thousand Sons, All is Dust - The fall of the Thousand Sons told from both sides

The First Heretic, Know no Fear, Betrayer - Word bearers excellence.

It suffers from Dan Abnett pacing. Spins his wheels for 3/4's of the book and then rapidly brings everything to a confusing end when he realises he's near his wordcount limit. Some nice chaosy bits when they're decimating Calth, but they're very much the whipping boys for the rest.

Noice! I especially like the conversion - the stance is a lot more dynamic than the original (a problem with a lot of the older GW figures, to be honest)

Ta Kissy, not a conversion though. Just one of the model options, the wings came from the one you sent me.

Bitch was a bugger to get to stand up like that. Had to pin it and use plenty of green stuff underneath.

That very kind of you, but it's far from that standard.

I'm happy enough with him though. It'll be nice once I've got all of the old school Greater Daemons sat together.

Nice job!

I had a sudden flash of inspiration regarding my Nurgly Saucy man that I'm currently working on. First time I've picked up a brush since Christmas.

He'd been waiting in a semi finished state since before Christmas. Decided to leap the last hurdle and get him done.

Keeper of Secrets next! Assembled and green stuffed apart from his head.

Palace of the Plague Lord - Good adventure tale but really clumsily written at times. Author needs to choose a wider range of words from his thesaurus rather than using the same ones over and over.

I award it a C+

Very tidy work, Kissyfur.

Reminds me to finish off the Keeper of Secrets I started. Man, RC cars have completely taken over my hobby time recently. Might have a dabble later as its raining.
