For the first year in ages, I'm not bothered about 95% of what's being released this year. I'll probably pick up Forza Horizon and Rocksmith and that will do me. I was all up for Resi 6, but that looks disappointingly shit.

Is it just me or are decent-looking games thin on the ground this year? I really can't be arsed with another Halo or Gears of War.

There's not a lot coming up that's thrilling, I have to admit. Borderlands 2 I can't wait for, that'll hit next week, though I appreciate that most other folks weren't keen on the first one. Sleeping Dogs has probably been my surprise hit of the year. Can't think of anything else I even know about.

Is there a list anywhere of upcoming games that you're basing this on? It's hard to have an opinion on the quality of (the last three months of) this year's releases without knowing what they actually are.

There's plenty of lists out there on the internet. If only there were a way of finding them. :(

Seriously though, I'm on my phone, so I'm not doing a massive copy and paste job.

Borderlands 2: maybe, depends on price and if an Dave is available.
Halo 4: see above
Assassin's Creed 3: yes please
X:COM: maybe. depends on how scathing the reviews are
Dishonoured: maybe
Hitman: yes please. I love sexism.

Hah, Tokyo Jungle looks awesome/terrible! That aside, Dishonoured might be cool but the rest look shit and/or boring.

So, yes, I'm happy to agree with the proposition that the last three months of this year don't look to contain much in the way of decent new games.

Isn't Luigi's mansion out this year? I thought it was. Hopefully it's an omission from the list because I was looking forward to that.

Quite interested in Omerta, too. Lego Lord of the Rings will be purchased.

It's hardly surprising that there aren't too many HUGE MEGA GAMEZ coming along though. This is probably the last Christmas we'll have the current crop of consoles. There's more than enough to keep me satisfied though, along with loads of stuff still sat on my shelf.

Even if you only brought one game a month, there's surely something for everyone until the end of November. It's not a bad list by any stretch although the past few months have been a bit shit.

But don't you remember when there was 20 games you wanted, all released within two months? It was crazy.

I'm not complaining, but it's just in marked contrast to previous years.

Looking forward to LEGO Lord of the Rings and the Phoenix Wright trilogy.

And Rocksmith if that's the one where you plug in a real guitar.

Dishonored is a maybe, Assassin's Creed 3 is a "guess I have to really after playing all the others"... but that's about the lot.

I'm interested in

Assassins creed 5
Halo 6 or is it 7?
Resident Evil 666
Dishonoured (Correct Speeling)
FIFA 20 (Accurate title)
Need for Speed More Wanted
Super Sonic Kart 2

Maybe Malaria Simulator 3 if there's less unnecessary gun jamming, random attacking, and pill popping.

I can afford 1 game if I'm lucky, which will be Halo 4. Not least of all because I still play more Reach than everything else I own put together.

I think you're supposed to be a supernatural assassin from some guys who did Bioshock and Deus Ex in a world from the guy who did Half Life 2. Apparently it's like Thief, but since I've never played that I'm going to say it's like, um, a first person Hitman through the eyes of Bioshock*.

*May not be even vaguely like that at all.
