Do they often give you cash? Do you turn up and shake a collecting tin at them?

I turn up in tennis shoes without a coat when there is a foot of snow on the ground. I'm a local
legend for that; not being nesh.

Normally the cash is put in my hand as i'm being shown the door.

So I still haven't had to make a single cup of hot beverage for anyone but myself, nor have I done any photocopying for anyone but me. I have been to Bradford Crown Court for an Infant Approval Hearing and I've also got loads of pretty serious cases, including deaths and serious injuries. Bit grim, some of them, but I'm getting the high quantum stuff because I'm assisting the partners.

Oh, and apparently I'll be attending inquests and stuff soon. Cripes.

(Still don't want to do this PI malarky as a career, but being shown the ropes by partners with decades of experience between them is really good. At the very least I'm getting very familiar with the CPR and litigation generally.)

Oof. Woman told she owed telephone company €12qn (that's twelve quadrillion Euros, 6,000 times France's annual economic output). Obviously a mistake, but she was initially told

Sounds interesting. I have to say I'm rather surprised they have a parablozza doing this sort of thing. How many partners are there and how many associates/assistants (whatetver they call the non-partner solicitors)?

Still, good for you - it sounds like it'll all be good for the CV.

It's an obssession Mali, and it's not good for you.You need to stop it. Perhaps just cut down your exposure a little at first, and then maybe you can wean yourself onto Devonshire nutters, and then eventually rejoin the real world again.

What's my best option for expanding my 360's storage from original 20GB drive, these days? Get ripped off on a small hard drive in a fancy box, or buy nice cheap 16GB flash sticks as and when? I'm not particularly interested in second-hand drives, because I'm a mug.

Hm, maybe I should ask this somewhere that hasn't just decamped en masse to a fucking cottage in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, that's kind of my thinking too - but Forza Horizon! Maybe Dishonoured unless I get it for PS3! I had to shuffle a gig of stuff off to a 2GB stick to get the Horizon demo on it; I've not paid attention so have no idea what I have that isn't available any more (except Galaga and Outrun2 Arcade).

You're right, probably better getting a 16GB stick or three - shovel XBLA stuff on one, Gears 1-3(4) on another, Forza 2-5 on a third (and shift my profile to the 2GB stick). At least they'll still be cheap USB sticks after the nextbox comes out, instead of a small expensive hard drive in a stupid box.

I'm banned for,um, dissenting. As much as I'd like Kernow to self govern, I don't want those that want the same to do it.

I shall investigate Phantom Time.

In half an hour I picked 90% of the peppers at the allotment. 2.3kg of unripe chillis, 200g of maybe-ripe purple gusto, 1.1kg of half-ripe salad peppers, and only a few salad peppers left for another day. There're a few more in the garden but that's it, 4.5kg if I'm lucky of salad and chilli peppers total.

Last year I getting 2kg of ripe chillis A MONTH. I know i halved the number of plants but wow, terrible year.
