Also, it's Christmas. Starbucks says so.

I have a photo from the tail end of October with someone putting a Christmas tree in the front garden. Unfortunately you can't really make it out in this photo and over the hedge.

Does diwali involve Santander and led reindeer? And signs saying Merry Christmas? If so, totally diwali.

Not many non-whites on the estate where I currently reside.

Not sure of the date this year. I think the local Asian population are mostly Sikh around this area.

I'm on the train to Ilkley! End of the line, baby! More ring shopping. Then beers. In Otley! With my friend. Presumably W will go home and do stuff so we can talk about her. Yawooo!

So last night Mrs AE was out in Douglas with one of her friends.

I should state upfront that she's damn near tee-total these days, and neither of us really get the chance to go out that often, so the idea was that she'd be letting her hair down a bit.

Not quite as much as she actually did, though.....

1) They go to one of the fanciest bars in town and drink expensive cocktails for a couple of hours
2) They go to a nice Italian restaurant, trough out on all three courses and put away a costly bottle of wine too
3) Mrs AE starts to feel a bit wobbly and instead of getting the bus home, decides she needs a taxi (£30, kerching)
4) She gets home looking somewhat worse for wear, gets up to bed but doesn't look well, 'Do you need a bucket?' I ask, 'Yes', she replies
5) She vomits up the entire contents of her stomach (expensive cocktails, food and wine) in quite spectacular fashion

Chucking up might have helped on balance, she's actually in better shape today than I was expecting.

There was a fiver left in her purse, she went out with £100 and her friend gave her a tenner towards the taxi......

Looked at rings. I know nothing about this sort of thing. Decided to go to pub. The Bar t'at. In Ilkley.

Good work, Mrs AE.

As long as you know enough to say "OK, I'll do that" when she tells you which one to buy, you're fine.

We got our rings off amazon (ordered a size guide first, then ordered the rings we both liked)

They arrived the day before the wedding!

Cadbury Fingers are my favorite sweet snack, and I think.
It's close between them and Double Deckers.
