Your body weight is fluctuating all the time. A couple of pounds could literally be a big shit and piss stored up.

:this:

I weigh myself three times a week and then average them out to get a rough indicator of progress.

Next time I go I'll get people at the gym to feel me and see what they think.

Why wait, just ask people on the street!

Was having a shit day yesterday (no reason, just woke up in a bad mood) so went to the gym and rage-lifted - set new PBs for squat & deadlift, so current standing:

Squat: 112.5kg
Bench: 55kg
Deadlift: 117.5kg

Cheered me up a wee bit :D

It’s a known fact that being angry while working out makes you work out harder. Swearing, which I recommend enormously, even when not working out, helps too. You probably know this.

Well done on the PBs

I was in a bad mood and listening to LCD Soundsystem this evening. I worked out faster and did an extra set of reps in less time than it normally takes me!

It has definitely worked for me. Overtake me and immediately cut me up in a running race? Oh look, suddenly I'm quicker than you. Draft me for 5 miles in a half marathon, following me even when I slow almost to a walk and move to the other side of the road? Crikey, I can run at a pace you can't manage, no idea where that came from.

First set of race numbers arrived thought the post for the first half marathon of my year. Looking for 1 hour 57 to match last May's effort, as the course is broadly the same. Should be doable.

Month after that, looking for 48 mins for the tunnel run.

Every 8 weeks my coach sets me 3 tests, run, bike and swim.

I ahve just done the bike test and my FTP has climbed from 237 to 273.. just means all my workouts will get harder.

The run test is run 2 miles as fast as you can, mine is around 16 mins not looking forward to it.

ish :)

FTP stands for Functional Threshold Power, which is commonly defined as the highest average power you can sustain for an hour, measured in watts. FTP is often used to determine training zones

Having pissed about for nearly two weeks halfheartedly following my macros, I was a lot more 'strict' last week and this morning my weight is at 73.7kg and I PBed deadlift again over the weekend (120kg) so good progress. Now to actually stick with it; only 4 months to go.

After slowly putting on body fat over the last couple of years I got sick of it and started controlling my diet properly again in late August last year. I saw good results for a short time which then got (mostly) blown away by two sun holidays nearly back-to-back followed by the festive season. I screwed the nut again in January and am now 96kg; which is down 6kg since the start of the year and 10kg altogether since starting last year. I'm still working out a few times a week throughout all this so I'm not losing too much muscle mass (72.3kg down to 70.8kg since January) and I'm fitting into some t-shirts and shirts better than I ever have. So, yeah, even with loads of fat left to lose I'm fairly comfortable declaring that I'm in the best shape of my life, which is nice.

Good work guys :)

My progress in time for July is slow (not helped by gorging on maltesers recently) but bodyweight is currently at 73.3kg (only 7kg to go ?:| ) and lifts at:

Squat: 117.5kg
Bench: 55kg
Deadlift: 120kg

Just bench I've not hit my target at yet. Keep alternating between rational "I have AGES yet" and "ahh panic why am I not at my goal yet".

It’s a bit shit they haven’t emailed you, but I had a look on the website and it says all tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates (whenever they end up being) or you can get a refund.
