So I had a sensor fitted that turns the light on when you go in, it lasts for 20 seconds and even when I'm sat on the toilet it won't pick me up until I wave my arm in the air.

We've got one that you can set how long it stays on for and adjust the sensitivity.

The problem with that is for 9 trips out of 10 to the loo it would be far too long.

Mine doesn't turn off while you're shitting. But then I also have two bathroom windows so even if it did you wouldn't exactly be plunged into darkness.
