I don't really understand it, but I never like sitting in seats if the little cupholder has litter in it or if there's a newspaper left on the seat.

I just can't stand trains, or buses. Planes I can tolerate because it usually means I'm going on holiday and because it's also a nice view out the window.

Subtext: you're all weird for caring as well; it's just a bloody seat and two minutes in to your book/film/TV show/game of <whatever> you'll stop even noticing where you're sitting anyway. Weirdos.

My preferred seat is in the rear-right corner of the train. It has a table, a power supply and is the best-positioned table to avoid glare from the sun on my screen. The second-best seat isn't as well-shielded from the sun and doesn't have a power supply. The third best was just EPIC SUN GLARE FOR AN HOUR AND A QUARTER.

Beyond all my wildest expectations, I've not had a single problem with the M5 yet.

Of course, now that I've typed that, I fully expect it to shit out it's own gearbox on to the A5 on the way home from work tonight.

There was an e60 m5 saloon outside BMW parts yesterday. A US one weirdly, must've been military or gubment.

it left me with the bizarre impression of being massive compared to my bigger estate. I suppose it must be the gigantic wheels, what are they, 20inch, with a sidewall about the same as the 245/40/r18 on mine?

while there I replaced the missing piece of lower grille plastic.

Twenty-two fucking quid!

I can't stand planes or buses. Trains are fucking brilliant though, but admittedly not during commuting hours.

I love take off. I love landing. I hate every single second in between, even on a short hop on a small and near-empty plane.

I like taking off & landing, but they are boring & uncomfortable the rest of the time. Also... fecking airports.

I like planes.

It still feels wrong that they can fly though, I mean it doesn't feel like you're going fast enough when you're on the runway.

Post subject:  Re: 1st world problems

I think today I have the mother of all first world problems:

It was my birthday on Saturday and my brothers and my parents surprised me with an absolutely incredible combined birthday and Christmas present - a Playstation 4! Totally and utterly unexpected! I'd made some jokey comments when people asked what I'd like, just saying "Oh, a PS4 would be lovely!" safe in the knowledge that the console was sold out virtually everywhere and way, way, way, way beyond the sort of money I'd expect anyone to spend on me, so it was a genuine bolt out of the blue when I got it.

Only thing is, as I'd had no plans on getting either of the next gen consoles for some time yet, I'd given no consideration as to what games are out on them... and I'm finding there's actually nothing at all that I'm interested in enough to blow £50 on. Nothing at all. So I've currently got one of the world's most expensive Blu Ray players sitting on the shelf underneath my PS3, which can also play Blu Rays.

Not that I want to seem ungrateful because I'm absolutely over the moon about what I'm sure will be a fantastic console once some interesting games have been released.

I suppose I should just go and get Killzone for the shiny graphics or something, eh?

Given that the original Killzone was one of the finest games known to man, yes, yes you should.

I'm sure there are some good games on PS+ or the store or something.

If you are not already a PS+ subscriber then go do that now - you will get Resogun and Contrast 'now' and Contrast should be swapped out for 'Dont Starve' tomorrow (pretty sure the switch over this month is the 24th Dec).

At the same time you can go on the PS Store (while not being a PS+ member or anything else) and download :

War Thunder
DC Universe online
Warframe
Blacklight Retribution

All for free - and if you have purchased any of the following on PSN in the past (via PS3 or Vita) you can also download the PS4 version for free

Flower
Flow
Trine 2
Sound Shapes
Escape Plan
Doki Doki Universe

That should at least give you enough to get started with - I cant really vouch for Killzone as i've not really played it beyond the first mission but its definitely pretty (also since its a bundled game if you dont mind 2nd hand Game and CEX have it for ~35 instead of the 50+ new will cost you)

I've claimed Resogun and Contrast via PS+ and I have to admit, Resogun is pretty damn good. It *is* only a Defender clone though, underneath the admittedly extremely pretty graphics.

The Vita link-up thing works amazingly though. Last night I went to visit the missus who's now living on the other side of the county from me - she was surprised to see me when she knew I had a new toy at home to play with. So I allayed her fears that I was perhaps growing up or something similar by producing my Vita from my bag and continuing to play Resogun via the Internet.

Truly, it is the future.

Snakes can swim. I knew that - you should have asked me. Of course, many island snake species would have been there since the land was still joined to the mainland and evolved somewhat or remained close to if not the same as those on the mainland in accordance with both timescale and survival pressures.

But anyway, next time you can bypass Google and ask me instead, and then I will think you are stupid
