Derren Brown linked to this piece on Twitter, not specifically linked in any way to this 'story', but still quite insightful: http://thecollectivereview.com/anna-blu ... es-up.html

I'm of the opinion that this whole furore is nothing more than intorverted people making a typically half-arsed stand against someone putting themselves in the public eye and not being ashamed of it, as they are too afraid to do something like that.

No apostrophe for the contraction of 'statistics'?

Also, what does AOP mean?

Oh, contraction I suppose. No - still number one. It's an abbreviated term, not a contraction. You wouldn't put an apostrophe in maths.

Not really a full stop, it denotes an abbreviation for example; Mr. John Smith.

I didn't remember anything of my first driving lesson, I was so nervous and tense. I'm pretty certain I didn't kill anyone or smash into anything, but other than that it's a blank. It got better pretty quick though!

Friday she will be revealed as a trolling experiment. Social experiment into hate speech on the internet or something.

That's the problem. I didn't actually see any of the fallout from this yesterday

I haven't seen any fallout from it at all, apart from this thread. What happened - death threats? 'Plain woman is plain' campaigns?

FeeX.

Someone tweeted an estimate of 1.5 M page views * £20 PCM ad impression rate = £30K earned in a couple of days for the Mail Online. Not sure of how accurate the figures are though.

Great looking weather today, frost everywhere and snow on the hills, it's amazingly clear and crisp. You can see airliners sitting in the sky with no contrail and the light is just perfect - if I wasn't booked for a thing today I'd have taken the morning off and dug out the camera.

On both Sunday and Monday this weekend I will be entrusted with the care of my baby, as the wife is working (huzzah for extra pay on public holidays).

I hope Onnie likes the pub!

I've got inlaws to go and see. I'm overjoyed. Really, really, really looking forward to it. I didn't want to spend the weekend walking in the Dales, or mountain biking at all. Considering heroin.

I have a weekend of DIY to look forward to including changing some bath taps which look like they're glued in, and stripping paper in the hall, stairs and landing.

Gets me out of seeing the in laws though!

I've gone and cricked the muscles in my neck, again, which has rendered the left-hand side of my upper body practically immobile unless I want massive pains shooting down my neck, back and arm.

Now I know how Peter Weller felt like in the Robocop suit.

I hope this sorts itself out by Saturday, I've got a 5-hr drive to Glasgow which I can't imagine is going to be much fun when I can barely turn my head at junctions.

Pieterson is doing well. I think the complaint about 'timewasting' due to switch hitting is a bit unfair.

I've been in this job for a year now and I still hate it.

I need to get something new as I've just gone from weekly, to monthly pay and I've realised how worse off I am from 18 months ago.
