Mr Dave wrote: I had no issue with Quorn. This. The type of quorn is important though. Fake bacon can piss off, but the mince is OK if a bit lacking in texture, and the chicken pieces browned and thrown in amongst a stir fry was pretty inoffensive. Mostly my ex and I had those breaded non-chicken things with some kind of top-layer filling like cheese or cranberry. It wasn't meat, but all entirely edible. |

The 'chicken' and the 'mince' were the only things I ever used. it wasn't the same, but not repulsive. |

Tofu is great, though. It's proper food, so I don't feel bad eating it. Unlike 'facon' or whatever. |

On the subject of Quorn, most of the fake chicken stuff is pretty good (especially the southern fried burgers). Mince is alright as well. But it needs ridiculous amount of seasoning and to get it tasting above the water filled nothingness it is. Which is why the peppered steaks are the best, because there overpowered by something with taste. Cauldron stuff used to be excellent, they don't seem as good these days but I've always liked their mushroom burgers and marinated tofu in a stir-fry. |

This isn't big enough for a nay, but I just fell down a ladder and sliced a little finger and big toe open. Things are flapping that shouldn't be. |

Grim... wrote: It's nearly midnight. What the Hell are you doing up a ladder? Are you Zack Morris? Long story. But yeah, the pain is still here. I missed the Arsenal-Swansea highlights! It was a ladder to the attic, rather than one into a woman's boudoir. Sorry to break the illusion. |
