The last posting date for standard parcels is Wednesday 14th December

And if you wanted to send something by Special Delivery then you’re probably looking at the last Thursday before Christmas, which is the 22nd.

I think standard parcels are 14th but second class packets are the 17th and first class packets are the 20th... But that's from memory as the royal mail site has been borked for days.

And yes, saying you've sent in this thread does give the greater possibility of guessing who has sent you something if it coincides with the recipient getting their delivery, I think, but then again it's up to the sender whether they keep it a surprise!

Unfortunately there was some Christmas temp at the depot who wasn't up to speed with how the post boxes work. I usually just show the card and get whatever is there. This guy wanted some identification like a normal missed delivery item.

Unfortunately the name on the package was "Craig Belmmaster".

I tried to explain that wasn't actually my name and was a joke from someone. "So you can tell me the name on the return address then?"
"Yes..er...no...it's a...secret".

Thankfully a familiar elf appeared, and I obtained the goods. Thanks Santa
