"Free" DLC tomorrow "Terminal" voted one of the best maps from MW2

Infinity Ward announced today that the fan-favorite map from Modern Warfare 2 will be making it’s way to Modern Warfare 3 on Xbox 360 July 17th for Elite members, July 18th for non-elite.

As-per the Microsoft / Activision exclusivity contract, Terminal won’t be available on PlayStation 3 for at least 30 days after it’s Xbox release.

Crazy that they would release it for free when people seem happy to lap up maps from old games at a premium price point.

Yay for freebies! They even added a slew of new maps and game types (1v1, 2v2, 3v3) for free.

Quite surprising and pleasant, but I guess they're making money hand over fist with the regular releases.

2 new missions in Spec ops + a new mode today - have not tried the missions but the mode (Chaos) is quite fun - hoards of enemies kill them quickly to build up your combo meter as the bring in nastier and nastier enemies with weapons scattered around the level , a bit like the survival missions on steroids

I dont think anyone else has tried these but I do quite like the Chaos mode - starts of with 3 minutes and at the end you need to keep your combo building to keep playing

Mines was the same and looking online there are plenty of posts like that - i did find a way to get it to work if anyone else on here cares about it

Sign out of XBL
Launch the game - it will actually get to the title screen (before this you just got a black screen before that) then ask you to sign in *dont*
Go to multiplayer , and when you are in the multiplayer menu and select online games you can then sign in and it works (if you sign in at any point before that you just get the black screen).

I’ve just been playing the Spec Ops missions with my mate.

I noted:

1) The graphics are fab;
2) The character models are brilliant;
3) It’s smooth as silk;
4) The shooting is real nice with great feedback - I think I prefer these weapons over any of the CoDs I’ve played in recent years; and,
5) The Spec Ops missions are great fun.

MW3 gets a bit of a bad rap but I’ve nothing but fun with this.
