PS Vita [Wi Fi] preorder for £183

Best price I've seen elsewhere is £210. Due out early next year.

3DS - £108

Best price yet: Not seen these under £110/£115 before, and only in limited supply.

Get to it, whilst stocks last (and the coupon is valid for this weekend only).

Do you think places will do 3G subscriptions where you get it free?

Not likely. They said for japan they are selling prepaid 3G cards in 20 hour and 50 hour denominations. You get 20/50 hours usages (no data limit) and then buy a new card when you run out.

Not sure if they are doing the same in the UK, but you do have to buy the (more expensive) 3G model to be able to use 3G at all (without a hotspot or something).

Toys r us aren't listing the 3G model atm, so this coupon can't be used on it, but I think it is £230 elsewhere.

Just how bad is the battery on it? I'm hearing it lasts 4-6 hours with wifi and 3g off before it goes dead.

Shoot. I was thinking about this year's Christmas presents but that's just not good enough for travelling.

There will be an official battery pack add on, supposedly.

Yeah battery life is disappointing. Also it won't be out in time for xmas over here. Early next year I believe.

But it looks to have a decent launch line-up, possibility of small cheap games with the PS Suite, region-free, and dual analogues without some garish add-on.

It's also designed so that it's relatively trivial to port PS3 things to it. Expect downscaled ports of loads of Sony's big games, loads of HD collections of PS2 games, and cross development for some big console games over the next 2/3 years.

I have been looking at the PSP for a while for them but the girl wanted nintendogs, if there is a battery pack and it wasn't at pisstaking prices then I will probably get one for his birthday later in the year, he would be on it for hours and hours at a time and I don't want to end up with him tethered to the plug socket as that rather negates the point. The PSN store is just chock full of games for the PSP so that's not a worry for me at all.
