That is truly heart breaking.

I nominate the English Patient for several heart in mouth sad moments. IIRC I cried quite hard at the end.
War Horse (cheating slightly (well, a lot) as it was a stage play of Michael Morpurgo's novel, but it was unbelievably sad and beautiful)
Roy Batty dying
Shadowlands
Remains of the Day - unrequited love is the hardest thing to bear, I suspect.
Collateral - not so much sad as just another sell-out unbelievable "I need to be loved" cop out ending from Tom Cruise that ruins an otherwise very good film (like he always does)

Ummm, loads, really.

Loved that film. Is it ever coming out on DVD?

I'm pathetically easy to manipulate. Every contrived sad bit in every stupid film ever and I'm bawling like a wean. That Bit in Top Gun? The whole of Philadelphia? The moment in every film Sam Elliott's ever been ever in where his wise, grizzly sidekick/mentor bloke gets killed off? Yeah.

But yeah, count me in on Serenity and doubly so Due South. Oh, and Buffy:
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Angel killing Jenny Calendar, and the scene straight after where Giles goes into her house and finds her body. Nnnnnnng. And Buffy killing Angel five seconds after he gets his soul back. All three of my kids were absolutely inconsolable after that one.

Oh, and Leon absolutely owns this topic.

I cried when NAtalie Portman bent over and took her knickers off in Closer. Such a beautiful, emotional scene.

More appropriately for this thread, I nearly lost it when PP rejects MJ at the end of the first Spiderman film, but I knew deep down they'd have raped the series of all integrity by number three so I held the tears back. Also, the end of CLerks 2. Also, Stand By Me. Also, certain Buffy, 'The Body' in particular, but watching the whole run again this last years, a few I'd forgotten from first time round just caught me unawares.

I am a massive gay though, so it is to be expected.

Virtually all of the movie 'Babel' is an "Awww man!" moment. I was really fucking depressed after watching that. It's just all so unfair!
