We lost a slate this morning in the gale, rather scarily it landed on the pavement at the front of the house, I dread to think of the consequences of it hitting someone :S

Methinks it's time for a roofer, but with us being a three-story house it'll be a scaffolding job - kerching.

I'm selling my old Nokia 5800 on eBay if anyone is interested?

So far, the highest bidder is from Russia with zero feedback who's been a member of eBay since yesterday.

That sounds like it is going well! :D Also, after the rave reviews you and I gave that phone, I can't believe it won't sell. Maybe you should link that thread in your auction! :D

Shush you! It's a fantastic phone and I would dearly love to keep it but... erm... yeah, anyway... The people of Russia don't know that.

I technically cannot use the Internet for personal use in this job, hence the massive reduction in my posting. We do use logmein all the time though, so when the boss isn't around, I do occasionally logmein to my very own home PC. Like right now, for instance!

I'm around today as I'm off work, but I had an afternoon nap. I think that means I'm technically old.

(Went for a pub lunch with Mrs AE and had two pints of pissy horrible Carling, and I just wanted to go to bed when I got home. Rubbish!)

Also, £3.45 for a fucking pint of Carling! Peroni is a mind-boggling £3.90 a pint.

When it passes the £4 mark the world will have officially gone mad.

Because it was lunchtime so I deliberately chose something I don't like, otherwise it becomes a session before you know it!

It was either Carling, Carlsberg or Peroni. Mrs AE was just having a half of Carling so I figured I'd go for a pint of that. And then another one because it takes Mrs AE FIVE FUCKING YEARS to finish a drink off.

The local bitter (Okells) is really nice but not suitable for a lunchtime I don't think.

I should have broken ranks and got Peroni.

EDIT - Also, it was that fancy new Carling EXTRA COLD so I thought it might not be as horrible as normal Carling, but it is.

I, just don't understand sorry. :) Unless it is a porter? Even if it is a heavy, you could still have a bitter shandy over a Carling. Probably cheaper than Carling also, for some reason I can't fathom.

Yeah you're absolutely right. I'd forgotten how appalling Carling really is (I never drink the muck normally), but Mrs AE said she'd have a half so I just made it a pint and half. Also, I was hoping that the special EXTRA COLD variety might be alright. (It had a super-duper ice cold bar pump with condensation dripping down it and a fancy blue light effect.)

Dreadful gassy chav-piss, it truly is. (And don't even get me started on the BRAINLESS IMBECILES who drink cans of Carling in the pub, fucking retards.)

I could just fancy a pint of Okells right now, come to think of it.

Oddly, now that I'm kinda working from home I'm not on't'internet during the day like I was when I was working in an office, hence my sporadic postings of late.

When I'm not trying to persuade people to let me in to their homes so I can ask them a load of questions about life, the universe and shit like that, I'm at home with the missus and her clients (she's a child minder, before any of you get any :hat: ideas) and am either being harassed by rug rats who want me to read them a Pepper Pig story or build them a nuclear reactor out of Duplo (TM). Either that or the missus wants me to paint something, fettle something else, tidy the garden/garage/bookcase, etc. etc. and will countenance no fannying around in here.

When I was in Rome, we saw a 'British Pub' and thought it might be amusing to stop in for a drink.

€8 for a pint of Fosters was not amusing. Also, the bar staff spoke no english, the other patrons looked they wanted to kill us and I'm damn sure the barmaid charged us extra for not ordering in Italian as the guy who went in front of me had a pint of Fosters and he got a note in change from a €10.

Fuck that.

You'd have to pay me well over double that to drink Fosters. It makes me feel nudity

If you're ever passing through Petersburg, Virginia, and feeling homesick, call into this place. When I entered, I was almost knocked backwards, it looked and felt completely authentic. Then I saw that they had loads of my favourite English beers on, at quite reasonable rates, and realised that I was driving so couldn't have any. Dam.

Gotten as far as Buxton. See Google+ for reasons. Apparently, 'leaving early' means 'go to argos to buy a wireless USB dongle and install it for MrsA's father. All I want to do is fukcing move house.

Tennis bores me.

There's no tension when the same 2 players contest every final. They need to drop seeded draws.

The same people don't always contest the Grand Slam finals, though most of the time it comes from the same 4 people.

And other than for perving reasons, men's tennis is on a different planet, quality-wise, than women's tennis. The rallies last night were quite incredible.

Doing away with seeded draws would be daft. You want the final of the tournament to be of a high standard. If Djokovic had knocked out Nadal, Federer and Murray in the first three rounds then watching him thrash some other numpty 6-1, 6-0, 6-0 would be a massive anti-climax.
