That sounds shit. You want to make Pastaey Beans.

Piss off, you'll have me making the pasta from scratch. Using moon rock to mill the flour. And yaks milk. And Magic Beans that I have to fight a giant for.

You keep your pretentious Pastaey Beans, sir.

Brill. Thanks.
Happy to, but will only need to decide at lunch on day 4 if it's viable.

I started a diet today, as I am overweight and need to lose about a stone and a half before I can fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes (since the baby came I have eaten a load of crap and not had the time to exercise regularly).

Day One:
Breakfast - Porridge
Lunch - Chicken mandarin sesame salad from Wagamama

Drinks - 1 Apple juice, lots of water

Snacks - Zero, but I am going to have some grapes later.

This might not seem particularly puritanical, but compared to my normal consumption it's one hell of a change. Especially since the vacant desk next to me is piled high with millionaire shortbread, doughnuts, cookies and muffins.

I'm aiming to stick with this until I am back to 13 stone, and preferably lower, with the obvious exception of the Beexbeeque, at which I will eat myself into a meat stupor.

Blood test results are IN.

I have a thyroid disorder. Apparently my thyroid stimulating hormone is at over 12 units, when over 7 (I believe) is considered a serious problem.

IN YOUR FUCKING FACE, UNIVERSE. I told you I was ill. I've probably been ill for about 15 years. And apparently because four of my relatives have it, my sister was tested when we were younger, but I never was, because fuck you.

So anyway, I'll be on tablets for the rest of my life. But I won't be fucking exausted every goddamn day, and I might even have enough energy to do something with my life. :)

I think that with a thyroid disorder you qualify for free prescriptions for life. And not just for the thyroid medication, for EVERYTHING. Another 'yay' if I'm right.

Helping a nice old dear with some Newport local history. According to Slater's Directory, 1896, a certain Rev. Thomas Arthur Davies, head of St. David's Church, has held his position since 1800. 8)

That's one old ecclesiastical dude. Wonder what his secret is?

Absorbs the souls of the sinful.

Cheers for the goodwill, guys. I'll be going in on monday to get a prescription sorted out, so I'll probably be in for a difficult few weeks as they work out the right dosage, but once that's done I ought to feel like I've actually slept for once. So many things I'll be able to start doing properly now, it'll be great!

It was fantastic. Obviously some serious guys turned up kitted out with the full MW loadout: ACOG scopes, different coloured Holographic sights, red dots, M80's, the G36c, some sniper rifle, a bloody Spaz shotty, an assortment of pistols, a glock, G20, some submachine guns, P90, MP5 etc etc. It was a CoD fanboys wet dream. They looked the business.

Everyone was good fun and good sports about the whole thing. Some were a bit too keen but it made for a terrific day playing soliders in this abandoned warehouse.

There was a large killzone and an upper floor with a load of office space to clear; and a pitch black basement. This guy had a brilliant light on his gun that could strobe which scared the shit out of me.

I'll definately be doing that again and I'll be getting my hands on some sweet kit if I can! Recommendations for websites welcomed!

Way better than paintball.

Protests in Tottenham about police killing a man on Thursday (not sure what the situation was) have turned nasty. Much looting, police cars on fire, riot cops have reportedly fled (though I'd imagine that's probably a sensible thing to do if they're caught out).

Journos to arrive at the scene, and I can't find any other news outlets on it yet, but the BBC are taking calls.

Crumbs.

I've still got a shit load of gear that I don't use any more - camo gear, combat vests and the like. If you're interested let me know, and I'll dig it out and send you some photos.

Can't sell any guns to you though, against the law so I'm stuck with 'em.

Or you could give them to me but I'll make a charitable donation to you!

I don't quite understand the laws surrounding airsoft guns and it's my own bit of kit that I'm really after. I'll have to research it when I get a minute but it sounds like too much bloody work to me.

Some of these e-petitions are great:

Reduce Amount of Traffic on Roads During Rush Hour

make car crime obselete

But it's the rejected ones i like:

Abolish the e-petition initiative

Half the London Congestion Charge

Ban the 'Go Compare' adverts

Give MSE's Martin Lewis a role in Government

Not getting much fun out of gaming though these days, everything seems to be a rehash lately. I nearly always feel guilty for not doing better things with my time when I've played a game for a couple of hours and not really enjoyed it.

Think it's time to jack it in until the next gen consoles are out and see what's out then.

Apparently, after many hours of playing with several stable Fallout 3 mods, I'm suddenly entering an unstoppable crash apocalypse for no obvious reason.

After trying to work out what was causing it and ruling out various mods combinations, I discovered a quite baffling suggestion on a forum that actually worked perfectly: To blow myself up.

This actually fixed it. I have no idea how, but I find it oddly pleasing that it did.
