I might need to add some more people to my Wii Friends, as I don't think I have added any since september...

I will do that later today.

I was almost going to post a comment that at least there are invites now, which helps, but then i saw that i was invited twice and actually had to start and restart MK twice to accept both invites and then saw that evne after an invite i wasn't yet befriended with malc as he had to reaccept too.!

Thanks, Romanista, but you have my codes slightly mixed up. I don't have my MarioKart code for my London console yet, as I haven't ben back there since the game was released, so the MarioKart code there is for the console here in Lancaster.

I have most people on my Wii friend list on my London console, so I'll just send invites out from there once I get back next week.

I can't see any way of acknowleding romanista's acceptance. So I sent another invite!

It really is quite crap, I don't know why they didn't just go with moderated usernames or something, and just make it so that you need to do it once, and then you are friends for all games!

I can't see how anyone could think this system is a good way of doing it?

You can see if people have accepted your invite by going to your friends roster (either on the MarioKart Channel or in-game) - if the face of their Mii shows up then they have accepted your request - if not it remains a question mark.

I don't mind the system - if you already have all your friends registered to your Wii it's easy enough to send out the invites, it's only because Craig's Wii is new and nobody has his code registered that we've been having a bit of trouble inviting you guys as it means having to enter the codes, but once I am back in London I am just going to send out invites to people with the game that are already registered on my Wii, which is easy enough.

Yeah, but I sent romanista an invite, and he accepted and yet I still can't see him.

It does take a while; Craig and Mimi's Miis took ages to show as accepted on my console. Craig's was visible from around 8pm last night, whereas Mimi's appeared only when I logged on this morning. Both were added at the same time.

Also, this morning I switched it on to find I had been awarded a new character as a present from Super Mario Galaxy, it says here. Rosalina. Hurrah!

In addition, I've also got a new kart for winning fifty races on WFC. Which I haven't done, but there you go. Hurrah!

Hehe - yes - we got both of those - Rosalina and the 50 W-Fi races - we haven't taken part in anywhere near fifty, but there you go!

as said, after iaccepted and you switch on mk i tink we became friends, it succeeded anyway..
and 50 wins doesn't mean 50 races, but 50 people, so you can do that in about 5 races..

did you get rosalina after playing super mario galaxy, or just out of nothing

@mimi ,you don't show up yet on mine..

You don't show up on either mine or Craig's yet either, Romanista, but everybody else seems to have linked to us fine :o(

Unlocking Rosalina:
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Rosalina appears if you have a Galaxy save on your Wii and then win some cup or another (I can't remember which one), but apparently those without Galaxy can also unlock her eventually, but it means getting a star rating on all mirror mode cups, or something.
(spoilered, just in case...)

This game fucking rocks. I'll be doing the Wii friends thing in a bit if people are interested. But first two things:

1) When you me and the lady are both playing on WFC is their a way we can both log in and get the points ranking? Because that would be brilliant, and I can't work out how.

2) The Wheel is brilliant, and awesome. It controls brilliantly and the B button becomes really easy to use.

Yep, everyone is showing, now - I did try to join you in a race, but when the race started you must have finished or moved to play against someone else and you were no longer there, and I had been playing for about an hour and my eyes needed a rest, anyway.

When everyone's connection is sorted out we should try and arrange a time where we will all converge for a game - that way we can start a room and have a little race.

My details - not sure which one you need, so have both:

MK Code: 1547-5336-7939
Wii: 1901-6207-0822-3754

My Mii is called Alex, rather than Whomper. I'll try and add everyone else's codes in tonight, ready for the inaugural bash.

I don't mind the original SNES one. The rest can get knotted. Just about to add everyone in the thread who I have not yet added.

Mm. The Wii one is at least done with fairly quickly. Seems like every online round I've played though comes with at least one chap who will always choose Rainbow Road until the game finally lets him play it. And then votes for it again afterwards.

Mm. It's annoying when someone repeatedly votes for the same course, even after it's been played. It's a shame this isn't banned. Not the worst thing in the world I suppose, but slightly annoying all the same.

Yes, I added you to both our accounts - sometimes it sems to take ages to be accepted - Romanista took a day and a half to 'show' on my account, but it happens eventually. it helps if you both happen to be online at the same time at some point, apparently.

Aah! Sounds right, I added a load more people earlier and one came through instantly, probably because she was online at the time I added her. I've added everyone here now anyway.

I'm not in the least bit sure. I'd be massively surprised if it allowed me to do it, particularly as the license seems to be inextricably linked to a Mii I just made up on the spot. Still, my online score is something desperately unimpressive like 5105, so it won't be a disaster if not. I'll post my friend code on Wednesday.

Yesterday evening i did the last of the 50cc cup. I started there because returning to them to complete everything and probably unlock some stuff after you've done everything else is really boring, and this way you get to know the tracks. Go0t Rosaline and the 50 wins kart, amongs some other karts now.

Those unskippable end credits get longer every iteration of MK, don't they?

I'll update the first post with the numbers of yesterday..

And then votes for it again afterwards.

Mm. It's annoying when someone repeatedly votes for the same course, even after it's been played. It's a shame this isn't banned. Not the worst thing in the world I suppose, but slightly annoying all the same.

don 't think repeadly voting for the same is too bad: i mean, if you like the course and want it too be played (and it's actually helped by the game as it is the fastest option, so if you don't really care). After it has been played it should have been blocked though (although if it was we might have bene complaining about that: "We want to do a coconut mall championship" etc... )

can you vote for 2 different circuits if you're online with 2 people on the same wii, i've seen only the same votes when playing thr0b and friends?
and RR is no fun at all indeed, it is just something you 'have to do' at times

Romanista after winning it, yesterday

Two online friends on the same console chooe teh same course - they can't choose separately.

Rainbow Road makes me sad, but I did the 100cc special cup last night and can now play as my Mii :)

Yup, it says on the box, it's a bit annoying, but compared to double dash, where you had to unlock the entire fourth cup by winning the whole 100cc it is an improvement..

mimi, playing the rainbow road didn't make me happy, but winning it made me feel relieved..

(incidentally, playing with miis you have to unlock with pro evo as well, a new trend?)
