I could still take half a second of that as my best first lap is still .4 seconds quicker than that one.

But I don't think I'll be able to

Agree. I mean that, in itself, is achieving the impossible.

I am now literally too old for this shit.

You're all better than me and I can't find the time / energy to try and beat those times because they are so far away from mine.

I hope you're all very happy destroying the old man.

BEST POST EVER.

Congrats to everyone who has beaten Trousers' times and made him feel miserable and old, because that's how his times made me feel.

Obviously this makes me a proper cack-handed mongo because I'm younger and more virile than him, so I should have been able to beat his times.

I need to tuck into the Mario Kart DLC at some point, I had a quick look last week but I was absolutely full of a rotten cold so didn't have much enthusiasm on the go, (although even through the fog of death it looked jolly lovely), and since then have dived back into WoW and that's been eating up games time, but Mario Kart would be worth setting some time aside for.

I decided to have a go at this yesterday having previously thrown my MK8 shaped toys out of the pram;

I got my 3 stars for the Triforce Cup and managed to get 2:04:981 on Mute City having discovered the shortcut.

I love it again now. Like the fickle shit I am.

Curiously, voice chat appears to not work during the races, which makes it somewhat less appealing to play. Unless you have a nearby pc or something similar to connect to a more sensible voice chat system (I use a paid for team speak thing)

which probably means I can't be bothered. Multiplayer with no voice just seems cold.

They can be strict sometimes.

Trousers: do you want to be mother later or shall I? Mimi and Russ are in, but they don't know how to join games with friends. Nor do I, actually.

don't you have to make a room or a tournament or something?

Mario Kart 8 includes customizable tournaments players can set up online using parameters for day, time, difficulty, allowed items, vehicles and more. Tournaments can be set to repeat — for example, competitions set every Sunday night — and are available to both friends and the general public, depending on the setting. Players will be able to search for tournaments by code, racing type and more. ""

Looks straight forward. Host goes to Online (number of players), Friends and Rivals, Create Room.

Once done, the other players should be able to join the host from the same Friends and Rivals screen by clicking on their name, in theory.

There was one early doors where you were leading the whole way, until I red-shelled you on the last corner and you fell into a ravine.

Good times.
