How do I send my time trial to people, by the way? Trousers sent me his (I think I got it to two seconds slower than he, but I have not tested my manual driving yet...) but I can't seem to send mine to other people. Also - where are they stored? On my Wii, an SD card or on Nintendo's servers? Should I read the manual?

think they are stored on your wii, MK's save had me copy some VC games to the SD card (and the installation of the channel some more)...

to send them IIRC you have to click on a friend on the rankings page, but i'll check it later today..

Thanks, Romanista, I have tried a few times but I am clearly too stoopid to work it out.

Will do some adding tonight.

The Mii seems to depend on what size it is. (ie big Miis are better at top speed and smaller ones better at accelleration)

Yes, Malc, I didn't notice it at first either - but there are stats for Miis listed under each of 'light', 'middle' and 'heavy' weights.

Added several of your codes last night, (Malcs wasn't recognised though) how long before they activate? All I saw was a bunch of question marks in my friends roster. It's a great little game, can't wait to race you lot and chip away at those time trials now.

Thanks for your ghost data, Romanista - I raced both yours and Trousers - managed to beat yours Rick but Trousers is too fast for me to catch :o(

I can't get the hang of manual, which I think would prove to be a big advantage in these ghost races.

Haven't added your code yet, Zardoz, will do so right now.

@mimi
knew would mine, as you had a faster time already.. have improved though with rosalina/BB.. think my daisy circuit time is quite nice though
@zardoz, sometimes it takes ages for people to confirm (and even then, i still couldn't saee trousers time yesterday on my friend list), but being online helps, especially if both parties are..

Yes, it seems a bit random, Zardoz - my brothers both added my code at the same time on the same console - one was showing up about five minutes later, the other took three days.

Managed just one race with MaliA and Wen on Rainbow Road before they scuttled off, but had a few games with Rick - we got cut off from the race after the first race or two so had to fight our way back into the 'room'. Kept trying to vote for Bowser's Castle for you at the end, Rick, but it just wasn't having it - gave up after Rainbow Road came up for us the third time in just a few races ?:|

I am yet to talk to anyone who actually likes Rainbow Road.

Just who are these folks that keep on voting for it?

I've actually come to rather like it. It's fairly unforgiving, but it's unforgiving equally to all participants, and I'm fairly good and remembering the routes/lines that can be safely drifted.

I wouldn't vote for it though - I feel guilty enough using Pows and Blue Shells in Multiplayer, without inflicting even greater misery on people.

Yeah, all of a sudden, we're both really pushed for time atm, to do anything.

I think Rainbow Road in this game is nothing like as punishing as the Gamecube version - that was mean :attitude:

No problem, MaliA, nice to have a race against you and the lady :D

This. First time I played Rainbow Road I despised it. Second time it clicked with me and now I quite like it. Again, I'd never be mean enough to vote for it.

I saw you voted with me, thanx, bowsers cast is a nice track, with lots of sneaky places, but noone dares to vote for it for some reason..

after a few times at rainbow road i don't hate it anymore, there was one place (after the two O's) where you keep falling off if you don't know the track at all.. came second in our RR race... wouldn't vote for it either as it comes up enough and think it isn't nice to people who haven't seen the track that much

after you left i played one more, but it wasn't the same.. good to race with cadmium lemon (dermoth) in our race as well...

tried to join mali, (i guess he was racing with you at that moment) and craig, but failed 10 times orso, went to play a few time trials, and came back and could join craig, but mali had dissappeared..was your race full all the time?

I really don't like RR. Bowser's cast;le is fun, but my favourites so far are Coconut Mall, and Toads Factory.

is this last night, R? We played for a bit then turned it off as we go to bed at 10pm ish on schoolnights as we're up at 6am.

Mario Kart disaster strikes. Too popular with the entire family as was Viva Pinata.

Therefore it's leaving image retention on the telly to the point where "Lap 1/3" etc. is clearly visible during Peppa Pig.

When I said to the wife "Obviously we need a new telly" she responded with some nonsensical solution of "Not playing Mario Kart as much."

Silly woman.

Plasma. Early generation HD Panasonic.

It's retention rather than burn-in but shits me up all the same.

The flower/clock thing from Viva Pinata stuck around for some time before it went.

We were having odd conenction problems, come to think of it. It would try to get into a Vs race, and then just hang when it was trying to connect.

I finally managed to steal my Wii, which I bought with my money, from my girlfriend's house the other day (she's had it since before Christmas). Turns out the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB adaptor is still the world's most useless lump of plastic and metal, so no online Mario Kart for me at the moment, not that any of you swines added me to your friends lists anyway. There are two possible solutions: 1) buy a LAN adaptor for £15 or so, or 2) return the Wii to my gf's house and play it there. One of these solutions will get me lots and lots of sex (number 1, natch).

malkc, thanks for the clallenge, now on 1.44.0, at wotr they are doing 1.42

I was trying to see yous but I sent my current one (at that time) instead, I am now in 1.43 something and I think I can take about 2 seconds off if I get a perfect line. I think sub 34second laps are doable with a car.

I'm currently trying to turn my silvers/bronzes into golds in the gp section so I can unloc the better vehicles.

Anyone who's not on my Wii will get added next time I boot it up. It has been 3 months since that last happened though.

MK has always meant (and always will mean) Mortal Kombat.

Nah, still CBA. I have Viking to buy and GTAIV to look forward to on the Xbostin 360 first.

This makes me feel so sad. I have been looking forward to seeing Dimrill's Mii race around Peach Beach.

Hello,

I have sent invitations to all those whose addresses I had stored on my Wii- so if you get an invitation and think you already have me added, please accept it and add me again as I am registering people on my London Wii console ^_^

It seems that I never had nearly all the people I thought I had regsitered on my Wii console - for example, Daniel, I was SURE that I had you registered!

Anyway, my Wii code is: 6977 3899 7312 2585
and my MarioKart code is: 0473 8109 4015

OK, I am going to add everyone to both Wii and Mariokart friend's lists now. Thanks, everyone :munkeh:

Hai mimi, accepted your invite, but now i'm completely full, so when dimrill, and some dutch friends arrive i will have to delete some, so which will be using more (if I raced you, you were on craig's friend code me thinks)

Malc, some nice racing yesterday evening.. i was just too reckless at bowser castle (both wii and n64), but still.. did beat your and matt's Daisy Circuit time (matt's time with 7/1000s :)), with a 33.852 lap, so if i would be able to that three times i would make 1.41.556, but next goal is to get into the 1.42s...
