Okay I've just been to see Doomsday (which I think is a crap title) and it was excellent. Perhaps a better title would be Eden Max and the Combat Force VS King Arthur and the Wild Boys: Escape from Scotland 48 Hours Later might be a better title.

If you don't mind stupid obvious plot holes but do like post apocalyptic 80s films this would undoubtedly be right up your street. It is a mess as many people on imdb say, but it's all the better for it!

Yeah, I'm already planning to go see it next week :) I'm getting a John Carpenter vibe.

I'm very big on John Carpenter at the minute so that's probably another reason I loved it. The soundtrack is ace too. It mixes up so many things that it really doesn't matter about the gaping plot holes. Perhaps they're even there for a reason. If you liked Planet Terror you'll probably like this.

i watched the first half, then called it a day

it was TERRIBLE

but there are some fit girls
the violence is quite carpenter...

but some was just so...un-needed...like 50calibre-ing a rabbit, and running over a cow, showing it being eviscerated under the wheels...too much, and no justification.

Things like that are self-justifying, you loon.

Plus - walling off Scotland!

I must admit I found some of the gore a little difficult to take. Overall though it was brilliant.

Yes, but the tits are somewhat combined with the gore.

A most excellent film. We tried to tot up how many films were either referenced or taken off afterwards but ran out of breath.

Terrible but very much enjoyable film!

I enjoyed the dubiously placed "Two tribes go to war" during one of the fight scenes.

It was a film that knew which films it was and was aimed at a particular type of audience. Largely the Cinemageddon audience actually..
