Today I learned that guac and chips can have a detrimental effect on my digestive tract for at least two days.

I would consider myself very keyboard shortcut-literate but somehow I've only found out today that Ctrl + Backspace deletes an entire word instead of an individual character.

I'll probably stuck to using my own solution (hold Ctrl+Shift, tap left or right cursor arrow to select entire words, then Backspace) because it's generally hard-wired now and useful in more situations, but I'm still surprised I'd never come across this before.

Meh. I didn't know that one either, though it DOES make sense.

I love KB shortcuts. I used to challenge the other IT manager I worked with in Her Majesty's Civil Service, to races to complete a give task, with me using shortcuts and she using her mouse. Didn't take long to persuade her that shortcuts were the better solution for lots of common tasks.

Ctrl + Delete deletes a whole word too, but in the other direction (you know what I mean).

One that I found very difficult was LAlt+LShift+RShift+Esc that brings you to the debugger on a NetWare server. You really need three hands to do it.

Well I never

The name TASER comes from Tom Swift and His Electric Rifle, a 1911 science fiction novel by Victor Appleton that imagined an electric gun. The device from the book was the inspiration for the real-life TASER.

With a range of 3355 miles, so must have tanks to take 1183.3 gallons of fuel. Brings a whole new meaning to gas guzzling money pit.

That's around 4.5 tonnes of fuel.

A few days ago I learned that the track pad on my Macbook Air DOES have tap-to-click, it just isn't enabled by default. :belm:

I learned of the 'merge across' feature in Excel which merges cells in rows rather than all together if you select multiple rows.
