You can play Snake on ANY YouTube video.

Pause it and hold the left arrow key and up arrow key at the same time, be quick though as the snake appears and darts for the left of the screen.

To be precise, any flash video. Took me a moment of confusion when it didn't work due to being a (presumably) HTML5 played video.

True facts: the first game I ever completed (as compared to the many I've started and got bored during the polishing phase or somewhere before) was a multiplayer full rotation snake a tron a like. It was awesomes. I have no idea what happened to it.

I wish I had known this 2 months ago. It drives me insane when we're watching movies and the little names pop up at the bottom! I shall politely inform Craster...

I might just make it disappear, seeing as I have a new shiny DVD player now... :p

Because it pops up with all the stupid little name thingies while we're watching DVDs! ;)

Plus, who knows how long I might keep Craster :p If he goes, I need a DVD watching device! (And no, I don't have anything other than a DVD player. Consoles do not exist in Faerie Land. (okay, maybe a Wii at a push, but I still wouldn't part with my own money for one!)).

There's an option to turn them off if you're watching full-screen media.

I was thinking 'blu ray'.

Yes, but Craster (although he SAYS he's turned it off) hasn't turned it off. So DVD option it is!

Blu-ray shcmoo ray, I can't be bothered to replace the hundreds of normal DVDs that I have or spend stupid amounts of money on B-R new films that I buy when I pretty much can't. tell. the. difference.

You don't have to replace anything, they play DVDS too. :)

Although I can talk, I decided to watch a DVD for the first time in months Monday night, I knelt in front of the TV for about a minute trying to work out what to play it on. Controversially, I went with the DVD player.

Slightly related to DVD stuff.

If I'm watching a something on my blu-ray player, and then turn the TV off, it's clever enough to turn itself off too. (HDMI thingy) but then the Blu ray player turns itself back on again. and also turns the TV back on too.

Sony bluray player
Panasonic viera TV

(don't have model numbers with me at work)

Oh I know that, what I don't know is why the bluray turns back on again and turns the tv on. The 2nd time you turn it off it stays off.

Assuming that works horizontally with arrows, I fucking love you.

My 'old' Sony tv (26in non-fullhd backlit LCD that cost £450 from Costco; relatively new but old by modern standards) and blu ray player got angry with each other if they tried to turn each other on and off to the point the tv needed power cycling. Well done Sony!

You can drag tabs off Chrome (the kids call it 'tearing', I believe) to make new Chrome windows (or join them to other existing Chrome windows), but we all knew that. But did we know you can CTRL or Shifty click to select multiple tabs to tear at once?

It was actually yesterday but that doesn't matter. I learnt that Adam Hills has a prosthetic leg as he was born without a foot.

I learnt this from his stand up that was on Amazon Prime. Very good it was too. I like Adam Hills.

I think that’s basically it. Oxygen feeds fire, but you blow so hard on a match or candle that you essentially blow the flame away and apart from its material source of fuel.

Which is why you can use explosives to put out fires.

You just have to be careful not to set up more, bigger fires in the process.

What if the treadmill is on a truck going down the road at 40mph and you jump straight up? Does the flame travel backwards?

If I remember rightly, you’d actually need a hot fire to make the grenade explode (assuming it’s a typical grenade like, say, M67 which the US use). I can’t remember how hot, but like 400 degrees or some shit.
