New Fear Factory single is quite catchy. Reminds me of Obsolete-era with a little more bite.

I apologise whole heartedly for bringing up the subject of such a landmark and influential album's anniversary in this thread of all places. In future I shall adhere to the agreed subject discussions. Again, I abase myself before my betters.

I didn't know it then, so I'm OK.

Countdown to Extinction or Vulgar Display, yeah, definitely. But they do feel like ages ago. It's more the 15 year stuff that shocks my pants off. The last Faith No More and Kerbdog albums. To Ride, Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth. Sounds of the Animal Kingdom. Around the Fur...

The Terrorizer retrospective album this month was Hate Crew Deathroll by Children of Bodom. :( I suppose to some that is retro now.

Man, remember when Earache and Osmose were both top labels? I can't even name an album on Osmose that I've bought in the last decade. Earache had Woods of Ypres, but with the sad death of excellent friendly man David Gold that's now gone.

It all went wrong for them when they signed Nickelback.

Just noticed there's a new Old Man Gloom album out. Oooh.

Stupid limited vinyl. If I want a new record, I should be able to buy it.

For a reasonable price, too.

Yeah, like you said on twitter, the fact it's sold out a month before release really should point to the fact that demand warrants more pressed. I love collectables, me, but sometimes labels seem intent on creating them for eBay buzz about a band with limited releases resulting in scenes from a Primark sale.

I actually annoyed Leeds' 'major indie store' with my anti-Record Store Day article in a local rag recently.

There's collectible, and then there's not seeing the forest for the trees. O/T, but the new Shackleton album came out earlier this month. No name self-owned label. Sold out. He could have done a big run, probably sold that out in a few months, but instead very few get to hear the music the way he apparently wants it to be heard.

I like Sigh's cover of Under The Runes (from a new Bathory tribute album) so much I had to upload it for ya:
