Absolutely natural to feel this way mate. Gutwrenching. You have my complete sympathies.

I'm so sorry Rich. It's heartbreaking losing a beloved family pet at the best of times, but during a house move I just can't imagine how you've got through it. He was extra special, that's for sure.

Honestly, I’ve no idea how we managed it. We both wept when he passed, then pulled ourselves together, drove back to London, did another five hours with the movers, then the minute they left we wept again.

I’m outside the house now, sat in the car. I’m not going in until the rental firm gets here. Can’t hack it.

I’ve no idea how you both managed it. I spent three days drunk when Spi’ went, and when I wasn’t drinking I was crying with a sadness I’ve never felt before. It’s important to let it wash over you I think and succumb to it. I like to think Spi is chasing foxes and squirrels now.

Still in bed after a night of pretty much constant vomiting and diarrhoea. Started about ten minutes after I ate some buffet at a trade show at Perth racecourse. I'm assuming food poisoning.

Google: rate your visit, help others visiting Perth racecourse...

Do the best you can and take your time its horrible when this happens.

We had our first kitten for about 4 weeks

On the day she was due to get the jabs that would allow her to go outside, I was home alone as my wife was traveling for work.

She was fine at 6am, by 9am in the vets it was clear she wasn't well, she was dead at 3pm :( No idea why to this day.

Still upsets me to look at the pictures we have of her and we only had her 4 weeks.

Tried baking some cakes for our office thing for MacMillan Cake day. Every single one of the cakes looks disgusting. They taste nice, but no one's going to buy them. I hope the flapjacks I make tonight will be better, other wise I'm off to Tesco to cheat! :(

Are they cupcakes? You might be able to get away with buying some ready to roll icing, rolling it out and cutting circles to go on top to hide any imperfections?

A good plan, or use butter icing. :)

The kids are lapping them up. So they won't waste.

I did wonder about hiding it with icing, but my wife didn't think it would work.

It's given me a good excuse to read through old quotes from the show, so your cake's not all bad, Malc.

https://inews.co.uk/culture/television/brass-eye-day-today-quotes/

"“You are a paedophile, you are a nonce, you’re a perv, you’re a slot badger, you’re a two pin DIN plug, you’re a bush dodger, you’re a small bean regarder, you’re an unabummer, you’re a nut administrator, you’re a bent ref, you’re The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, you’re a fence vole, you’re a free willy, you’re a chimney bottler, you’re a bunty man, you’re a shrub rocketeer…”

Hmm, when I clicked show bbcode buttons, the attachments are not displaying (on the bbcode section and in the attachment area!).

I know this. I have attached pics before. I had attached pics, went to use the bbcode buttons bit, so I could put them inline, and then they disappeared. And I couldn't add any more pics. ( It goes through the motions, but then nothing is listed as attached). I'll try again with this post.

Okay it seems to be when I add a second one and expand the bbcode. It loses them.

The 12 brown ones? My daughter designed! Chocolate, peppermint, marshmallow, chocolate chip and vanilla.

The others, the pink ones were cherry and coconut, the brown ones were chocolate chip, and the pale ones were marshmallow.

They taste alright, they just look awful.

The Flapjacks I made last night look alright, and taste nice too. I'll take a photo, when the all the cakes are setup later.

If they taste good then I'd get some icing on there to cover the damage :)

Jesus fucking christ what a start to the day. Driving through Blackpool this morning I saw a big mess of dogs running around in the road then got a bit nearer and realised that there was a man on the ground covered in blood and screaming whilst being attacked by two staffies. So I stopped the car and ran over to try and so whatever I could which for the lack of any other ideas was to just start screaming as loud as I could and kicking the fucking things in their ribs to try and separate them. Fortunately they didn't turn on me but just would back off before coming back in for another go. I realised that the man on the ground was holding his poor little white poodle and it was this that the staffies were trying to tear limb from limb.

It was just utter fucking chaos, a cyclist stopped and I had to scream at him when he went in with his hands to try and separate them. I realised that there was also a black poodle in amongst it all which ran across the other side of the road chased by one of the staffies, just on instinct I scooped it up but it bit me so I had to drop it again and resume kicking the staffie. Eventually managed to get the dogs to stop attacking but they were still bouncing around all over barking at everything and everyone. By this time traffic was backed up behind my stopped car and dozens of other people were on the scene so I just got in my car and fucked off. I didn't want to see the aftermath because that poor guy's poodles were not in a good way I don't think.

Fucking staffies, I know that they can be lovely dogs and it's the owners fault etc. et fucking cetera but it's always these fucking dogs.
