I've actually forgotten my Minecraft username! And the "forgot name" and "forgot password" links on minecraft.net redirect to https://127.0.0.1:9000/, which is some epic belmitude. And the receipt email I have doesn't show a username.

It can only be one of a few options. I'll try them out at some point and report back.

I have that zip file too, of course.

There's literally no rush on this -- my MacBook Pro is away at Apple being repaired, so I have nothing to hand that can run Minecraft at the moment.

Even though davpaz told me not to, I managed to blow myself up by setting off a shitload of TNT in a random mountain. As soon as I work out how to fly I'll go back there and look at the mess I made.

It took me a while to work out how to ignite TNT. Hitting it with a torch didn't work so I was confused. Couldn't work out how to spawn flint and steel so ended up having to make it myself. Hard game, this.

The server might need a bit of a kick, Mr Paz. God mode isn't working (I'm still getting injured, but when I /god myself it tells me I'm silly because I already have God mode). Also, the scenery in some areas isn't drawing in until I actually walk onto it... until I do, I can see into the underground layers.

I fucking dreamt about flying around Minecraft with a feather in my hand because of that.

Anyway, I'm happy to announce that the railway extension is now open to the NPC village far to the east, which I have named Blarg Harbh.

Take Line 2 or 3 to Paz Junction, then get on Line 2 eastbound. Travel time to Blarg Harbh from Paz Junction is just over three minutes.

I was digging (what I think is) Pazland's first undersea rail tunnel to link with the yet-unnamed NPC village to the north. As I prepared to begin ascending towards the surface again I encountered a curious thing.

I'd already broken through a few caverns along the way. This one was different. Water leaked in from nearby, but there was a pig inside a flaming box/cage (this is a mob spawner?) and next to that was a chest containing a bucket, some wheat and some cocoa beans.

This is very near Craster's old northerly portal, but the chest makes me wonder if someone's been up to something here. I can't ask Zoralina if it's her (she was /getting mob spawns yesterday but she tends to leave if anyone else is connected).

Is anyone doing anything here? Because the tunnel is going to be going up through this cavern towards the surface otherwise.

Mob spawners with chests near them are normal. The stone around them is the only natural source of mossy cobblestone.

I don't dig many deep tunnels... this is probably the biggest and deepest one I've done since the halcyon days of the original Beexworld when I dug that huge tunnel down the bedrock.

Searching for ruins, Dimrill found another village far to the south east... filled with NPC villagers! This is very odd, as Blarg Harbh is still uninhabited, and I'm fairly certain that the northerly one won't be either. The new village is mostly built into the sea, so the villagers all wade around tending to their prefab fields (which are several blocks above sea level).

Railway is half-finished to the village to the WEST of Craster's scorpion.

Yes, west. Notch apparently decided in one of the 1.9 test clients that the clouds which, up until then, had drifted north would now drift west. It doesn't help that the map screen still shows the same orientation (with the new west as 'up') so it means a huge pain the arse as I change all my signs in the stations and possibly the observation tower at the spawn will need to be done too. This is not unlike Notch's previous collaboration Wurm Online, in which the sun rose in the northeast and set in the northwest. A very bored man determined Wurm was undergoing an pole shift which was nice of him, but just changing Minecraft's compass like this is annoying.

Right now I'm hoping there'll be a way to populate our two known NPC villages (the second of which I've now named Shady Sands) and perhaps to get the NPCs to reside in our enormous but empty city. As I said to Dimrill, I am sure the community will find a way.

Y'know what. I haven't done a tour in a while. Consider it done!

For now, check out the map. Expand the menu on the right and choose the icon in the middle at the top for isometric fun times.

I have created a little transportal rail link between the annoying middle-of-nowhere nether portal north west of the main city. I will tidy it up a bit in a wee while.

If you do accidentally start a fire, "/weather weather on 20" should be enough to put it out. Think of it as a global fire suppression system, essential in a world where half of everything (including the roads) is made of wool.

Heh. You don't need a redstone torch atop the block at the end of the line there, that'll keep the track permanently energized. Use a button ('/giveme 77') instead which will energize the track for one second, long enough to launch the cart. That way when you arrive the track isn't powered and acts as a brake.
