Would it be possible to build kinda like a stargate, but portal shaped where you push a switch and it ignites the portal, Ie pushing a block of lit netherrack onto the adjacent square to the obsidian to ignite it?

Probably, but it would only work once because you can't deactivate a portal.

Hehe. Time lapse would be tricky to do because things often take a number of weeks of dip-in, dip-out activity to put together, to avoid brick-stacking hallucinations.

Server updated to 1.8.1 with full bukkit support.

No monsters (that I've seen) and the dynamic map is working again.

Has minecraft once again died on this forum? Also, since i cant see it meantioned anywhere else, Minecrafts official (not alpha/beta) release is on the 18th of november. The same date of MineCon in Las Vegas (which sold out 5 days ago)

Yeah, I remember watching you get set on fire. I basically spent one whole weekend playing Minecraft and doing nothing else except sleeping - decided I wasn't yet ready to ruin my marriage and lose my house and job.
