How long did they have to wait for Dragon season?

Bran waargs into a dragon, saves the day, the cersei's backstabby plan work and she is still the Top Dog

I love this thread. In the early pages there’s a discussion about the portrayal of the Dothraki as being offensive to other races in the real world.

Then Pod pipes up:

Pod wrote:
I'm massively offended that the Wildling people are clearly meant to be Scottish.

And no one gives a shit. :DD

Episode runtimes. It’s confirmed that episode 3 is the longest episode this season and the longest ever action sequence ever, apparently.

We've just watched the catch up episode. I wish we'd watched it before the first episode on Monday, we need to rewatch that now.

Who am I kidding? We need to go back to series one and rewatch the whole lot!

I 100% did not spot Rob McElhenney (from Always Sunny) in the episode last night:

Apparently the GoT showrunners were in Always Sunny last season, too.

Som what happens book wise when the TV series is done? Does George cop out and basically novelise the TV series?

I cannot wait until next week. The very last scene in the ‘next week’ trail got me hyped as fuck.

Good episode though with some hilarious lines.

An excellent episode. Many touching moments, the culmination of stories years in the making, and superbly done. And the way we drifted from person to person perfectly captured the rootless, restless state of mind of the people trying to rest before a battle against overwhelming odds.

But a very clever episode too because basically everyone just lost their plot armour. Next week, anyone can die. And I’ve a feeling many will.

Top notch telly.

I’d expect most viewers to watch the Monday evening broadcast rather than the 2am, so avoiding naked spoilers till after then seems sensible.

I think you are correct.

Shall we put it in the thread name anyway to underscore it?

3/4 posts with spoiler tags seems pointless.

I thought this was the official rule on spoilers in the thread.

Anyhoo, can someone who watches it tonight see any Dothraki milling about in the background or otherwise? I don’t think I’ve seen a single one all season.

I might have seen a Dothraki general at the first meeting in episode 1 but where’s the rest? They didn’t rock up to Winterfell, did they? I honestly can’t remember. And I can’t remember seeing any of them in the trailers for the big battle either. Or anyone making any dragonglass curved sword things (EDIT arakhs)

I suspect this will be a plot thingy.

Who do you reckon will die then? I think that everyone who sat by the fire in the last episode will go... and yes, even Jaime and Tyrion.

In fact, the only people I can see surviving the whole thing would be Jon Snow and Sansa Stark! I can't wait!

I reckon that episode had the effect of removing all Plot Armour. Even Arya cast hers aside (figuratively and literally) here.

The Crypt will be carnage. "Safest place" my arse.

That would be quite something, given the amount of the series left to go!

I do think/hope we see a lot of deaths, especially meaningful ones.

I suspect at least one of Jaime/Tyrion survives, as they need someone to have an emotional/dangerous reunion with Bronn, not to mention Cersei’s prophecy.

I hope Gendry survives. I’m totes into Gendry for King.

Also, unless it's been seven years since Jamie pushed Bran out of a window, I think last night's episode made us paedophiles.

It was episode 1. But real time != Westeros time.

I see the writers have hastily said she's 18.

In show, it was pretty weird, but Maisie Williams is 22, so that's ok.

That's not how that works, unless you think it would be cool to watch an underdeveloped nineteen year old playing a thirteen year old getting railed.

Iirc, you cannot appear to be less than 18, or really less than 18 and getting railed, on film or photo.

She got made a Knight! That certainly hints towards her dying honourably :D

Tormund remains hilarious, and has transformed over a few seasons from Scary Fearsome Warrior into Horny Puppy.

Not quite right, but pretty close.

All the laws relating to indecent images refer to someone who is, or who appears to be, under 18.
That's so the CPS don't have to prove someone's age (which would mean identifying the subject and date of photo) to be able to make a conviction. If they look 13, the court can convict on that basis.

It's a defence to this if you can show that the person is indeed over 18, which is why commercial porn videos will have the disclaimers at the start to say that the cast were all over 18 at the time of production
