Happy to throw it all I the communal pot. I think we should get that Jade Frog investigated though. Might be worth more or do something, just seems odd compared to the other stuff we’ve scored.

Looks like Ivo's spell list doesn't use much of that, so I'm good for it all to be spent. Myptic might want to hang on to some diamonds though.

Bu my reckoning, without selling the reagents we make 1221g - 244g, 2s each. If there's a place in town that will buy/accept the reagents another 75g can be put onto that for an extra 15g each.

sdg! Am I right in thinking that fancy magical items, such as my glass rod or Ermintrude's axe, are not likely to be found in shops and are really only to be gotten by finding them in abandoned dungeons or on the corpses of their former owners? Would a reknowned researcher such as Myptic know where we would find clues to the whereabouts of any wonderous items?

In a big city, there could be a shop that specialises in magical items and has some rare, very rare or wonderous items for sale. They can get very expensive though. Very expensive.

You can also ask for items you already own to be enchanted. Again, expect a high cost associated with this.

If there is a particular item or capability you’re looking for, you can try and research it and see if that gives any indication of where you could either buy it, commission it or find/salvage it.

Ohh, and I also swapped out a spell to get the Hex spell so Level 5 Ivo is going to be cursing bad guys as well as missing them with Eldritch Blasts. Giving people disadvantage on say, wisdom saving throws, would work well alongside Shuu's Vicious Mockery

I was on my way to being a dice goblin but as a DM, I only roll physical dice a few times a session and it's always a d20. Maybe I will finally treat myself to a really nice d20 like I mentioned a couple of months ago.

My eldest is absolutely a dice goblin. I keep finding some of my dice in her jewelry box, or tucked away in her bedside cabinet.

90 pts of damage in a single blow...another character dead from the actions of the same character that killed my previous character. Bugger.

I think I rolled more 1's than I rolled everything else put together that session. Ivo clearly has issues.

Also, interestingly, ALL my attack spells other than Eldritch Blast require saving throws, rather than attack rolls. Which, as far as I can tell, makes Hex a bit useless for them :/

Sadly I have no useful spells for saving little 'uns from flames. I can open doors with my spooky Mage Hand but not much else.

Also: What the heck were they digging for that was more important than the 4 giant monkeys punching them? We need to do some excavation ourselves.

Frankly it was lucky we were there, other wise the villagers would have been stomped very quickly. I dread to think how much damage those giants would have caused had they let lose from the start.

Legend Keeper has been updated with the lore you found out yesterday and linked descriptions but here's the main gist of it here.

Darathra wrote:
The giants follow something called the Ordening, although I don’t know what that is, or what it means. Not all giants are evil, although a lot certainly are. The storm giant queen is said to visit with people along the Sword Coast, as a friend. Force Grey are known for expertise in giant matters.

Hill giants are the most commonly seen in this area of the world. They’re greedy and lazy, they like to raid farms and settlements and grab cattle and sheep to gorge themselves on. Frost giants are usually found at the Spine of the World. Frost giants fought in the War of Silver Marches, on the side of the drow and orcs.

A lot of giants use large boulders to throw at enemies before getting close.

Shuu recognised the name Force Grey and realised he knew a song about them:

Quote:
Have you heard of the adventurers known as Force Grey

Many a monster and villain they did slay

To protect the City of Splendours they ventured forth

Bold heroes who belonged to the Crown of the North

In the face of deadly dangers they all stood defiant

But maybe I would too if I was fighting aside a Giant!

Ermintrude knows the War of Silver Marches well, since that's the war they fought in when they were in the army.
Quote:
The War of the Silver Marches was a conflict against orcs that took place in the Silver Marches in the Year of the Iron Dwarf's Vengeance, 1485 DR (the year is 1491 DR now). Ermintrude fought in it while they were in the army, and knows that frost giants who fought on the opposite side fight with wolves, and use nets to capture slaves in battle.

The war was fought by drow, orcs, frost giants and white dragons against the Silver Marches. The small frontier city of Nesmé was destroyed by an orc horde and Sundabar was conquered by an orc army commanded by the warlord Hartusk and renamed Hartusk Keep. All dwarfholds in the area—Citadel Adbar, Citadel Felbarr, and Mithril Hall—and later also Silverymoon were besieged.

Finally, the tide started to turn and the dwarven forces were united to retake the River Surbrin bridge from the forces of Many-Arrows. From there, victories started to become more frequent for the Silver Marches forces until the war was finally ended.

Spooky Hand can only lift 10lbs, so it can carry any 1 month old babies to safety! However, as far as I can see it can happily move through fire and such, so can open doors and move things to allow the Rescue ApesTM to come in and do thier stuff!
